The pics are the range now, nothing taken care of ,Targets left from days before out in field, brass and trash...
The range is a disaster and trashed.Go figure they put all that money into it and make a big appearance with the big shots then this ..Fights ,not safe to just go alone and shoot anymore especially the weekends.Idiots just shooting the target holders to see them fall apart ,Unsafe rapid fire..from idiots just getting a gun and wanting to play gangster..worse yet people that don't even speek english and might not really be able to own a gun who knows,But The way it looks is on paper it all looks good but for those who used the range to enjoy or bring the family out to enjoy the sport...From the looks of it ,That is in the past for this range..Would not recommend this range if you want to just go to shoot and enjoy the sport..They put pics up from after renovated but this is it now..sad sight.period...One final thought..Now you get 'big groups' of non english speaking people at the range. So how is this safe when you can Not explain the rules or stop firing and get behind the line during No fire times ? But yet they are allowed to just go there and basically do as they please...This is Very Unsafe and is happening more often now and should Not be allowed because the R.O. if any are there, not just some volunteers, cant advise them on anything or explain any rules of the range. If you can not understand or speak english so you can be told or read the rules and safety of the range,Then you should not be alloud on a firing range. If there is any concerns for public safety...As I said though,Just my thoughts and concerns. This place has become a trash pit period !
Some of the pics are just from a very recent and unsafe feeling visit with people just dumping mags as fast as possible and shooting what ever is on the range..

The renovation is something to be proud of. The range has been adjusted to now house (10) 150 yard rifle bays, (5) 25 yard pistol bays with a rubberized floor and sound deadening above in the ceiling . There are ceiling fans too. Plug ins for your phones or equipment, renovated bathrooms, a hot and cold light system so every shooter knows the range status. It is also staffed with a Range Safety Officer to provide safety information and to keep the range safe and clean. I

Was a member of east Alabama gun club in the past but currently the membership is lapsed. While in Lagrange my cousins and I swung by to help sight in a new gun they built and wow was I surprised at the quality of this range.

While it’s smaller and there are no private bays like east alabama if you come during the week and it’s not too crowded you’ll easily have the space you need.

There seems to always be a range officer on site and the one we had was unbelievably helpful. We’re all admittedly green at the sport and he was very kind in adjusting our habits around safety and reinforcing the requirements of the state and the facility. While not required, I brought up the fact that I wish I remembered to buy a chamber flag to bring and he went inside and got us some Georgia state wildlife ones.

I wish I caught his name and will update this review next time I go so yall can say hello and get some advice from him.

For a free range this has all the bells and whistles too. Target stands in each bay that seem to be well maintained and if you forget your stapler there are at least two hanging on the walls provided. The hot cold system is the best I’ve seen as well, but remember I’m fairly new. Nice loud buzzer when the range is cold and you can’t miss the lights. Really appreciate that.

For a free range provided and maintained by the state you can’t get any better. Other recent reviews have photos of trash and brass everywhere and targets left out. I do not doubt this experience as you can clearly see it— but when we went yesterday it was spotless. We left it in the same state we found it and if everyone does their part in cleaning after use this range will always be a great spot to visit.

Only downside is the bathroom was a bit rough for my wife who likes to hangout when we’re shooting. There is a gas station a few miles down the road though for those that can’t handle it.

Range safeties aren't full time anymore (not sure how often they're there). Makes it a more user-friendly experience without them. Everyone seems to be doing a good job ensuring we're staying safe still and keeping the place clean.
