A good school, I had the pleasure of attending the Naples Italy center from 1985-1989. Our graduation ceremony was held on the Island of Capri. A short ferry ride from the port of Naples. It was still one of the greatest days I can remember. My Mother flew on her first flight from Los Angeles to Rome. This was before technology. Thankful for the opportunity to attend.

Safe environment:
I was 17 y/o when I joined the swim team here. At the time the 25 y/o coaching assistant perused me. The head coach never addressed this. Nor did she address my teammate chocking me later that same year.

This school is a total scam, it’s robbery what they charge you here. The professors are useless and they bully their students. Honestly this damn institution deserves zero stars. The majority of their staff is biased, ignorant, unprofessional, disrespectful, and have disgusting attitudes. DO NOT COME TO THIS DUMP EVEN IF IT'S THE LAST UNIVERSITY ON THIS PLANET! They are sad little rats who run off with money they don't deserve. Their service is terrible considering that they don't put their students interests or needs first. Do yourselves a favor and dont waste your precious time on people who wouldn't do the same for you. LA VERNE GET SCREWED!!! You’ve been warned, if you wish not to be ruined financially or academically, do not go here, thank me later!! For your own sanity avoid at all costs! You deserve the best and let’s be honest La Verne ain’t it!

When I visited, I was greeted by a dean and he took me all over the campus. He described the school down to imported materials used for building façades. It was an extraordinary experience. I arranged for cooperation between my university and his...it was a "college" at the time. Great memory for me.

I'm a proud graduate of this university. I loved the intimate feel of the small campus, the small class sizes, the outstanding and accessible professors, my smart and witty classmates, the greenery all around the campus, the ivy-covered exterior of Founder's Hall, and the great reputation of the school. I understand that some people may prefer to attend a large university, and/or a college with nationally ranked Division I NCAA sports teams to cheer on every Saturday, and that's fine. But for me, I loved my experience at La Verne. It was everything I needed and more. I have only positive things to say about my alma mater.

Financial aid office will screw you over last minute and make changes to your account NOT tell you via email or anything, they got an extra 9000 and I had to transfer out at semester, appeals are almost pointless because they rarely get sent for review by the board. The other offices are very sweet though, super respectful and will give you every detail you need and help wherever they can (shoutout to student accounts). Also overall have great professors, I only had trouble with 1/4. Overall unless you get a decent award amount, there are many other schools that are much better and where you'll get your money's worth.
