The fly in and car show was amazing. Too many cars to list but there sure was some automotive eye candy. Special thanks to the airport manager for allowing us to set up a booth for GNTC.

When I was 10 or 11 Mr. Dwight Albritton gave me an aviation experience that I will never forget. I have always loved planes ever since I boarded my first flight on a Delta jet at age 5, but when I was a kid it was an obsession. I wanted to fly so bad I couldn't see straight. I saw a plane coming into land here while riding by and begged my grandpa to pull over quickly so I could watch it touch down. After it landed we entered the terminal and Mr. Albritton greeted us and asked how he could help us and my grandpa told him how much I loved planes and that we were just exploring. In response to this, Mr. Albritton offered to take me up in the air in a Diamond DA40 for free the next day. I hope Mr. Albritton knows how much that meant to me as a kid as well as me now as an adult. I always think of that day whenever I drive by the airport. Thank you KCZL and thank you Mr. Albritton for helping to create one of my favorite childhood memories.

My first flight in a small aircraft. Deland Florida to Calhoun Georgia. I loved every second of it . Including the staff at this awesome airport. Treated us like we were royalty. Thanks guys , you hospitality made the day that much better

A pilot's haven. Great safe airport to learn to fly, fuel up with some good avgas at a good price, or make an instrument approach to Rwy 35 or 17 at night. Nice wide runways and well marked. The staff is tops. Come in and practice, fuel up and borrow a car to get some chow at some great local restaurants plus all the fast food you can imagine. IHOP, Captain D's, Chick-Fila, 5 Guy's, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Waffled House, and more. They got it all -and close by. Your friends or family will love the observation deck on top of the FBO! Buy a Discovery Flight for someone and come see where real aviation happens!
