You won’t believe what happened to me. We bought a house 🏠 and the heater works with gas propane, we moved and after 1 week our heating stopped working we were wondering why and may husband noticed that the tank was empty. We had a hard time trying to get a refill from the company that the last owner had. ThompsonGas was my hero I promise. I will never forget the person who did everything to get my new services with them and get my house warm. I highly recommend this company. They helped me they really did. Thank you so much. I’m very thankful thanks to that person my kids are warm πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ god bless them always always

This company is a NIGHTMARE. I have only had services with them for 3 months and it has been a problem ever since. We have been without propane for 4 days in below freezing temperatures and I have to call and email every day to beg for propane to be delivered.

I had a scheduled service for today that I scheduled WEEKS ago, they came outside of the time window (came in the morning, but were scheduled between 12-4), refused service and now are telling me it will be 7-10 days before I can get propane.

The staff is rude and unreliable.

Do not do any business with this company. The review below me is a perfect example of how pitiful they are.

This company is sad. My dad has been in his home for over 35 years and this company took over the previous propane company that is literally right down the street less than a mile from my dad house. The previous company that provide propane was always on time without any issues. He still has trouble getting them to refill his tank in a timely fashion. This is obsurd and they kinda are the monolopy in the area so it's frustrating. He is having a snow storm coming and no one still has not refill his tank. His house smells like gas so you know it's low. I highly don't recommend this company

5-stars truly reflects my over 10years experience with the company. I have worked with Thompson gas in the capacity of homeowner receiving propane deliveries and having multiple services to fix a leaking fireplace appliance. I have been allowed to negotiate a fair market value for my per gallon price of propane. I have also worked with Thompson gas as a contractor and appreciate their customer service and professionalism. Thank you Thompson Gas.

PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!

I am not someone who writes reviews, especially negative ones. However, I feel I need to do what I can to prevent someone from conducting business with such an awful company.

If I could, I would give this company zero stars.

They have the highest rates in the area, an excessive amount of hidden fees, and the absolute WORST customer service.

We got hit with a large charge from them at the end of last year without our knowledge. We were never notified that we had an outstanding balance with them - no electronic/paper document or phone call AT ALL. One morning I wake up and realize it is extremely cold in our house - it's the middle of winter and in my area it gets really cold. When I checked the thermostat, I stated it was 52 degrees in our house. I attempt to turn the heat on and noticed it would not turn on. I initially thought it was something with our thermostat until my husband noticed our water would not get warm either. Realizing our gas was turned off and having NO idea why, I contacted Thompson Gas. They stated we were delinquent on our account and we would need to pay a large amount of money to get another delivery. I asked why I was never notified about this, they stated they had been in contact with us several times. This was an outright lie. The last transcript they had on file was me calling and inquiring on why our monthly budget plan was so high. They did NOT inform us of this large balance existing - let alone being delinquent. I asked why we never received documentation explaining this and the manager blew me off. I asked several other times during the conversation why we never received written notification of this and the manager continued to deflect and not answer my question. When I explained to the manager we do not have the money to pay everything at once because this was so unexpected, I requested they raise our monthly budget plan to pay this off so we could get our heat turned back on. I explained I wouldn't be able to make our mortgage payment and pay the amount in full because it was so high. I was told by the "manager" if we wanted our gas turned back on we would need to pay the full amount and nothing else could be done.

As if that were not bad enough, they have done it again. Only this time, the manager - who the customer service woman stated [on the phone] had the authority to wave the fees and be compassionate - not only didn't wave the fees, he refused to speak with me. He made the customer service rep. relay the information he should have been relaying.

I have never witnessed a company show such little empathy and compassion. They do not see you as a person, they see you as someone who puts money in their pockets. While I understand you have a business to run, there is a way to do it and still give your customers great service. This isn't just poor customer service, not notifying us of the large amount due and it being "delinquent" is just unethical and poor business management.

If AT ALL preventable, PLEASE do NOT bring your business to Thompson Gas!!!!!!

We are a new homeowner (well, we've been here for 1.3 yrs) and we ran out today to run an errand. We came home to find an invoice on our doorknob. We have never had a contract with them nor do we "lease" a tank. Yet, the invoice (in the previous owner's name) says they refilled 2.789000 units of propane at a cost of $186.00 in our "leased" tank. The tank was full when we moved in and we have NEVER used it. It's only hooked up to 1 fireplace (which has NEVER worked). There is no way we needed propane. And, we have Ring and it shows someone getting out of their truck and walking to the door to put the invoice on the door in under 3 min. They have to pass the camera to get to the tank. Needless to say, there is no way they put propane in that tank. We called and the customer service person said that they would tell the manager. Tell the manager what exactly and do what? And, she never asked for our contact information to be able to resolve the situation. Her solution...she said, we will just come get the tank" with no form of resolution or suggestion to what could have happened or what they would do about the invoice. Some customer service. I don't trust them and am not paying a $200 invoice that I knew nothing about nor did we request the service. Avoid them if you can.

This company is over charging there customers. I purchased a smart thermometer to reduce my heating bill after receiving a 900 bill from this company and purchased heaters (which is ran off electricity) and kept my heat at 65 and still received a tremendously large bill .all the reviews are negative . this company needs to be reported to the better business bureau. Do yourself and wallet a favor stay clear of this company
