This is by far the worst experience with a company I have ever had. When I applied the add online had said 2 weeks out 3-4 days home. That never happened. When I would ask for time to get home I was ridiculed for asking such thing. Then dispatch would have me sit in another state for 4 days in route to get home thinking I could financially make that work when it makes no sense to send me home after sitting somewhere else for 4 days without paying. When I would get home eventually I felt punished because it would take forever to get loads out where financially again it would never work for me. What drew the line was being out for 2 months and finding a way to get to the house myself and get a reset in. The dispatch then gives me another small route back to the house and never assigned me anything for 4 days. And proceeded to question me why I am refusing to take a load through the weekend. Well maybe had they had their stuff together to begin with none of this would have happened. Good bye and farewell...

I have been hesitant on writing a review for a place I work for, but they deserve it. I don't know how, or where, to start so hang in there. I'm speaking as a current Step/Deck Driver. If you are looking for a new place to work, let me fill you in about SPX the best I can. This is truly a family owned and operated company, the owner and his immediate family work here EVERY DAY. They all have an office, a desk, a phone...and they are constantly working as hard as everyone else to make this a smooth operation. Owner can be found talking to drivers on a DAILY basis to find out how they are doing. The first question and action is a fist bump or handshake and a "how's things going?" He knows what drivers want/need (I'll explain further down as far as equipment goes) his wife manages everything, and she is extremely easy to talk to and work with even in general conversations. The owners son can be found on a daily basis on the phone with drivers, brokers, clients and everything in between. And can you believe this next part...they all take lunch breaks as normal employees, they do not act like, or pretend to be, better than or different than any of the employees in dispatch or safety. It's actually a team in there. (Makes my life so freakin easy). The safety department is always there to guide drivers in cases of DOT regulations, Logs, securement information and laws you may need to know if going into certain states. I cannot and would never forget the reason I love working here, dispatch. Man, I am gonna get teased about this later but dispatch for my flatbed/S.Deck work is undeniably the best I've ever experienced. The communication is 100%, the loads are with customers that are easy to work with and the freight is just plain, the best. My life wouldn't be what it is without all of that as a unit, I love staying out, I rarely come home and when I do, I'm always ready to go out whenever they need. (Sometimes hahahaha) however, NONE of that stuff above would be possible without Jose and the service department, I know you aren't going to believe me when I say this next part because typical service departments in this industry are careless about drivers and the equipment, however, the service department here is hands down the best. Can't say it better. I have never broken down, my PM's are always done here in phx at the yard. When they know you have to go back out for a load, you typically get put in the shop and taken care of immediately (just from my experience from what I've seen, I'm not promising you anything) the yard manager keeps this parking lot, SPOTLESS, he has every single peice of equipment/tools organized so when you need something he can be quick about getting it for you and not sending you to go play hide and seek. Anyhow, I just want every driver who may be looking, come check it out for yourself. ALL practically brand new trucks, EVERY TRUCK has a big ol bumper guard, EVERY Flatbed tractor gets a headache rack, stocked with chains and binders. EVERY trailer has everything you need to do your job. There is no "after hours call number" here. Straight personal/work cell phones and that is a life saver that I've never experienced before here. I drive a 2024 that I got in with 40 miles from a brand new 2023 I got into last year, I live in luxury out here and even my home life is better because of how much I'm not stressed anymore due to my job. Anyhow, I will share some pictures to give you an idea of what I get to haul. We don't strictly do spas. I got a little carried away with pictures, but you get the idea. If you're not afraid to get a little dirty, you value your relationship with employer and respect the load... come work here. If you're a customer, have em send me, I'll do it 🙂

Great company and atmosphere all around. Worked with them for 5+ years and counting and have been more than satisfied. I recommend getting in touch with them because they do not disappoint when it comes to logistics!

I'm the receiving manager at the Sam's Club in Yuma, AZ. We recently had a delivery from SPX and your driver was the most professional, prompt and courteous driver we've ever had come through here. I used to think females couldn't do this kind of job, but your driver proved otherwise. I didn't catch her name, but blondish hair on Nov 23rd. I hope we continue to book freight from SPX, I'm impressed.

Today is Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 6:50 in the morning.

The maniac that this company hired to drive Rig Number 0217, hauling a flat-bed trailer number 0179 almost ran me off the road this very foggy morning in Wisconsin.

I was traveling at 62 mph with very low visibility and traveling on the 2nd lane from the left. Anyone could pass me on my left or my right. This fool comes up, flashes his lights, blows his horn, swerves past me on the left and then swings back into my lane, leaving barely 5 feet.

This kind of a fool and maniac should not be driving a big rig. I will be calling the company this morning.

These guys are awesome!
I am trying to ship a big water pump 1000 miles, not only are they going to do it in 3 days but they are also going out and getting me proof that the equipment runs. This is also all happening the day after I called, no wait, very professional, and timely. 10/10 will use them again if needed.

As a broker you are at the mercy of the companies that run your loads for you. I had an issue with a driver yesterday from another company who wanted to say my load was oversized when it wasn't. So I met Ali at the shipper to make sure everything went well and it did. Ali communicated well with the customer and also made sure the load was where he needed it to be on his trailer. By far the service and punctuality SPX offers is well noted and a company I would highly recommend for someone looking to ship with. Thank you Sasha and Gus for letting me experience what your company offers in equipment and most importantly professional drivers! If you are in the area again I will definitely use your company!

Apparently your company finds it acceptable to hire drivers who can't back up. And who decide that they can just park wherever the hell they want, especially if it's in front of people that paid for their spots. You guys are the problem with this industry and if you don't correct the behavior of your drivers. Quite frankly, you deserve to be out of business. Although it doesn't surprise me since you run white Volvos. "Way to be just shining beacons of professionalism." On top of it, maybe tell your female drivers that they should wear more than just a bra and a pair of shorts when they walk around a truck stop yet again wait to just give off really professional demeanor as a company. If I were the owner of this company, I would be incredibly ashamed by my drivers behavior.
