I usually don’t leave reviews, but I owe it to myself and others to do this. I was referred to this company by a friend, and although I was initially very skeptical due to past experiences with shipping companies, I can confidently say this decision turned out to be a game-changer.

From the moment I reached out, I was directed to Mr. Uche, who made the entire process seamless and stress-free. I have never had such an effortless and remarkable experience with a shipping company. Their excellent customer service, timely responses to my questions, and outstanding communication for updates truly set them apart.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. My experience with SGK has been nothing short of a nightmare. My goods have been delayed for over 8 months—yes, you read that right, 8 MONTHS and counting —and I have yet to receive a single satisfactory explanation or update from them.

Despite countless emails, calls, WhatsApp messages and attempts to get in touch with their so-called customer service, managers and ceo I’ve been met with nothing but vague excuses and outright lies. It’s clear this company has no respect for their customers’ time, money, or business.

The level of incompetence is staggering. Not only have they failed to deliver on their promises, but their utter lack of communication and transparency is beyond frustrating. I’ve had to deal with financial losses and significant stress due to their negligence.

If you value your sanity, your business, and your goods, do yourself a favor and AVOID SGK like the plague. They have no business calling themselves a shipping company when they can’t even handle the most basic aspect of their job—actually delivering the goods! Oh guess what I still haven’t received my goods!

doing business with these people is at your own risk. This business is fraudulent in nature. I sent a package since October but I am yet to receive it. I told them I was reporting to the Better Business Bureau and Tunde said" that's fine go ahead" and I did.
I will also report them to other agencies as this is fraudulent.

Re: Formal Complaint and Notice of Action

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally complain about the consistently poor service I have received from . Despite multiple attempts from my side to address these issues amicably with your customer support team, there has been no satisfactory resolution. My cargo (SEA233718) which was dropped on OCTOBER 23.2023 has yet to arrive lagos or depart.I have raised a complaint to tunde seferally who assured me the package was in lagos
on reaching out to lagos office, it was a different matter. NOW TUNDE TOLD MY FA,MILYT THAT THE PACKAGE NEVER LEFT. as i am typing i will be sending this email as well to whatever authorites needs to handle the case . This letter serves to express my utmost dissatisfaction and to inform you of my intention to take further actions if prompt and adequate measures are not taken.

On several days, I encountered severe issues. Instead of tellking me that your company is incompetent to deliver my package after payment, you refused. you keep giving me the run-around but i refuse to be intimidated any longer This level of service is unacceptable and has caused me significant inconvenience.

I have tried to resolve this through your standard complaint channels but have been met with unresponsiveness, generic replies, lack of resolution especially from all managers. Such service is not only below the expectations set by your company but is also in contradiction to the consumer protection laws which warrant fair and competent services to customers.

Consequently, I am considering to report these issues to the Better Business Bureau and, if necessary, take legal action to ensure that other customers do not undergo similar experiences. I genuinely hope that it will not come to this, and that SGK SHIPPING will instead take immediate steps to resolve the problem and prevent any future recurrence.

I am requesting a formal investigation into these matters. Moreover, I expect a written apology and an explanation of how SGK SHIPPING intends to make amends, which may include compensation for any damages incurred due to negligence on your part.

Please be advised that if this matter is not satisfactorily resolved within 14 days from the date of this letter, I will not hesitate to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and consider my legal options to ensure such negligent business practices are made accountable. trust me i have drafted the letter It is my hope that this situation can be rectified in a manner that upholds your company's integrity and assures that customers receive the quality service they deserve.

I expect your prompt attention to this matter. I am keen to see how SGK handles customer complaints and takes steps to improve the service quality. Please contact me via the phone number or email address provided above to discuss this matter further. I await a timely response.

Used Sgk for 2yrs now with no issues till recently they decided to play funny games by stealing/misplacing part of my goods worth almost $2000 after almost 5months of delay and constantly refused to take responsibility for the loss. Rather than addressing it they kept on ignoring my calls later they claimed to be investigating and never responded till date. One thing is for sure if you can use a shipping service that is tested and trusted pls no matter the price cos affordability can also come at a price. I thought I had the best relationship with them even after people warned of their experiences I stood by them till I was a victim and saw how I was badly treated. I’m still in shock how people can twist and lie just to have an upper hand quite sad. Gave 3 star still because while the relationship lasted it was a beautiful experience so they deserve some credit but the customer service and handling is quite poor. (Note: Delays weren’t totally their fault but was due to lack proper Kyc and custom related but was poorly handled by them)

Import exports business is complex, ambiguous, and with a lot of uncertainties especially in these days of supply chain crisis. The SGK team does great work in providing as much visibility to the end to end process. The owner, Uche is hands-on and will step in to assist whenever needed. Mary Ann is also very professional and customer-centric.

International shipper to Nigeria. Guys working to load and package boxes, cars or equipment at the back are friendly and respectful. But front office ladies have a terrible attitude and aren’t friendly- Mariam has the worst of the attitudes, not to be trusted either.
Owner is friendly. Luggages are well packaged and delivered to location of your choice for a cost or you pick up at the Lagos office. Price is competitive.
