We had a very horrible experience with this company. We were given a load to deliver at 11:45AM and our driver arrived at 11:40AM. There was a truck in front of him and he was not able to check in until 11:52AM. The driver was held there for over 11 hours before he was released at 11:05PM.

Typically companies will compensate a driver hourly detention pay after the first 2 free hours. Unfortunately our broker Nicole denied this request because the driver was marked 7 minutes late. I tried my best to explain the situation to her but she continued to refuse and eventually stopped responding to my emails.

I then got in touch with the director of ops support Jaclyn. I provided her with a complete explanation and GPS screenshots of our driver's location, showing him outside the facility 5 minutes prior to his appointment.

This was her exact response "I'm not understanding why you are asking FLS to compensate you for detention, when we are not at fault. You driver should expect that it will take time to check in at any facility and if they are arriving right at their appointment time, a delay could result in the forfeiting of detention."

I had a hard time believing this was the response from a "director of ops support". Apparently it is justifiable to not offload a driver for 11 hours with no access to food or essential resources. And then deny compensation because the shipper failed to check him in on time.

Please be very careful and I would recommend not booking with this company. I understand things like this happen in transportation from time to time, but they did not handle it accordingly or professionally.

Part. 2
Please look at the owners response:

This carrier has ran this load for us on prior occasions and was aware that missing the appointment time, even if in line at the gate forfeits detention. The driver picked up prior day at 8:30 AM and had an 11:45 AM delivery next day for 226 miles. Based on experience, this carrier should be more professional in arriving with enough time to check in on time. The carrier acknowledge this in their email to us indicating that they were well aware that would be forfeiting detention "Driver is still waiting outside. Can you please assist with making sure the driver is not marked late? I remember we had a similar issue at this location last time and they did not mark the actual arrival time. So he was denied detention and that driver was there for many hours. I can't afford that this time around again."

While we attempted to obtain detention for this carrier, we cannot be held at fault for this denied detention request"

I cant believe that response from the owner.

When we contacted FLS at the time of the incident, they were made aware that the driver was on time but cannot check in because of a truck in front of him. Why didn't they contact the receiver to make sure he was marked on time? They literally ignored my request and allowed the driver to get marked late so they can avoid paying any fee's. It's extremely unethical and bad look for FLS.

They are well aware that driver's are on strict electronic logging and have to take mandatory 10 hour breaks. In order for a driver to make a living in this very bad economy, they must deliver a load and then pick up a reload immediately afterwards. So in order to fit this in his log book schedule, the driver will attempt to arrive as close to his delivery appointment time as possible.

I honestly thought FLS would have some sort of compassion for our driver. He missed his reload and was not able to work until the following day. And now he is being denied compensation due to a technicality.

If the receiver refuses to compensate, FLS should have taken responsibility and took care of the driver in this situation.

I am so shocked from the responses of "directors" and "owners" with this matter. But they obviously do not care with the number of countless 1 star reviews they already have. Feel free to book with them at your own risk.

I've had a chance to work with Katie Wise and Jim Stovall on the lane from TX to MS and everything went great! Professional attitude, good communication and easy to work with. Looking forward to working with them again in the future! Thanks

Coworker booked a load with Jordan Oke. Did the highway setup in 1 minute, and waited for the confirmation . He said that he will call back and never did. My coworker called and a "gentleman" answered and said that it's covered with different carrier. After that he YELLED at her and hung up. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. I can see now why these reviews are bad. These guys are rude and unprofessional. If you do not want to book a load with someone, at least tell them!!!!

I believe the reviews. All of them because our experience with Scott Logistics was a terrible one and we will never work with them again. They don't need to blacklist us because we've most definitely blacklisted them. I saw the load posted on DAT and because we had run with FLS before, I was like, they're an FLS company and assumed that they would be good. I was WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

Picked up the load on Thursday. It was to be delivered on Friday morning at 5:00 AM. Driver arrived at the receiver at 4:45 AM, but needed a drop off number which was not provided by Scott. Called the after hours team. They said no one comes in until 7:00 EST. Called at 7:00, broker said that customer doesn't get in until 8:00 EST. We got the delivery number at 8:45 AM. Remember our delivery was 5:00 AM. That wasn't the end of the story. Driver backed into a door only to be told that the load was rejected because the cans had plastic on them. At this point I am FURIOUS because I am watching the clock and seeing that our next load is needing to be picked up.

Broker asked us to deliver the load I believe 155 miles away, but it had to be there by 13:30. Driver said his clocked showed that he would be there by 13:15, but of course no one knows what traffic changes can happen on the road. Driver arrived at the facility at 13:29. When they asked him for the delivery number, he asked the receiver to give him one second to get it. The receiver said no. When he called back at 13:30, the receiver said that he was late and they couldn't accept him. At this point, I am flabbergasted because what the heck?

This load was the stuff of nightmares. I called the broker and got a guy, I believe his name was Jared. Talking real slick. About we're paying you aren't we. I was yelling and the driver was yelling. We had to hold the load until Monday. All of our loads for the weekend to Tuesday had to be canceled. We made 50% less than what we had scheduled to make dealing with this broker and the trash load we hauled for them. Be careful. The guy, Jared said that they are experienced in dealing with these issues because they happen ALL OF THE TIME. Imagine that? All of the time. He also said, how are we supposed to know what kind of freight the shipper is putting on the truck? What do you mean how are you supposed to know? It's your business to know.

Drivers, do your best to avoid this broker. They are trouble and will make your life miserable.

Donne Hickman and James Isaac put together to take our money after we work hard for our load. They first told us we had a flat tire after returning the trailer which we did not, then they turn around saying that the trailer was returned late and charged me 821 for it . So they look for any excuses to take your money. Scott is a good company but they must fire these people who are trying to scam drivers. I need corporate to contact me because I need my money back from James and donne

Unfortunately some of the people in the office feel as the trucker needs them. To tell me that "I don't have to haul a load with them" simply because I ask for a fair negation let's me know this is NOT the place for me. The only purpose for even writing this review is because the way that young lady talked to me. Simply because I told her I have NEVER taken a load for $1.80 a mile.

I understand some brokers feel that the trucker needs them. Truth is we truly need each other. Unfortunately your dispatcher, broker, who ever she was cost a relationship with me.

Not like I move alot of freight for you. This is why.

Worked with Amber Ellis on a load, was pretty surprised about communication and help during the load. Amber was very receptive to all emails.
No lies regarding shipper and receiver working hours, load ready time(a lot of brokers lie you about that).
Honest company - looking forward to work with you again.

CARRIERS AND DRIVERS PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS BROKER COMPANY!

The main goal of this brokerage is not building good relationships with carriers ,they want to charge and deduct the rate of the loads as much as possible.
VERY RUDE AND IRRESPONSIBLE TEAM WHO DON'T GIVE A $HIT ABOUT WHAT PROBLEMS WE ARE FACING WHILE COMPLETING THE LOADS.
I didn't look through these google reviews and after facing so many problems with their loads, I decided read all reviews here. All of them are correct. GET OUT OF TRUCKING INDUSTRY!
