I recently had a very disappointing experience. The security personnel on the third shift, particularly the supervisor, exhibited extreme hostility and rudeness. Upon conducting our pre-trip inspection, we discovered that one of the tires required replacement and the mud flap bracket was disconnected from the trailer, dragging on the left side. We documented these issues with photographs and notified our company, subsequently contacting our breakdown service to arrange for repairs.

We relocated to a well-lit area near the guard shack, ensuring sufficient space for the technician to facilitate the necessary repairs. We informed the guard shack that the trailer was not roadworthy until the issues were resolved and inquired about the suitability of our parking location. We were assured that it was acceptable. Our breakdown service provided an estimated time of arrival of 120 minutes for the technician. Following this timeframe, an individual approached us, inquiring about the status of the technician, who coincidentally arrived at the gate at that moment.

The tire was replaced, but for the ensuing 30 minutes, we faced persistent harassment from security personnel, urging us to vacate the premises. We attempted to explain that the mud flap bracket remained unfixed and that our breakdown service was endeavoring to locate a facility to complete the repair. However, Fredo, the security guard, continued to press the issue, emphasizing that the tire had been replaced and querying the problem with the mud flap bracket. The supervisor intervened via walkie-talkie, threatening to involve law enforcement for trespassing, implying that this would result in a penalty point on our license, and adopting a hostile, intimidating tone. We were instructed to relocate to a nearby gas station to await the necessary repairs. As professionals, we are obligated to adhere to established protocols, obtaining authorization and documenting all developments. It is not feasible to simply interrupt our duties and relocate without following the requisite procedures. As a driver, my primary responsibility is not solely ensuring timely arrivals or prioritizing cargo; rather, it is guaranteeing the safety of the vehicle, its occupants, and other road users. I am unwilling to compromise on safety, even if it necessitates declining to transport a trailer that does not meet the requisite standards. It appears that ROSS prioritizes expediency over safety, encouraging a 'pull and pray' approach. In this instance, I was prepared to forgo transporting the trailer, recognizing that safety superseded all other considerations. My response to the security personnel's impatience was that their remuneration, not mine, was contingent upon our departure. I refused to jeopardize the safety of others due to the company's apparent indifference to potential consequences, instead focusing solely on the delivery of their product.

If this is how a trucker is treated, I do not wish to conduct business with this company. Without truckers, no one in that warehouse would have a job; it's a mutual relationship. The lack of respect we encounter on a daily basis is beyond me. We prefer not to spend more time at the warehouse than necessary, but sometimes circumstances beyond our control arise. I am still so upset about how these individuals conducted themselves.

You have to drop empty to pick up a loaded. I drove for 40 miles to bring an empty so they can let me pick up my loaded trailer. After i dropped the empty I went to shipping office and the load wasn’t ready yet and no estimate time for it. You can’t wait for it inside the facility I went to the next truck stop to take a shower and comeback to check if the load is ready. I came back the guard told me we can’t let you bobtail in you have to bring empty, I said I brought an empty 4 hours ago and the load wasn’t ready , he said no we can’t let you in , go bring an other one. I was like are you serious ?!!! I had to talk to his supervisor and wait for 2 hours and finally they used their common sense to let me in. His computer was showing that I dropped an empty just few hours ago and I didn’t get my loaded trailer. But I felt like talking to a wall when I was explaining.

15 trucks checking in took over an hour and a half not sure what the heck they are doing at the gate but check in is supposed to be the easiest thing to do when arriving at a shipper loading is normally what takes long check in order number trailer number is seal intact yes proceed should not have taken 15 minutes per truck.

Poor shipper. Messes up the paperwork and I had to turn around and wait in a huge line, then wait in a huge line in the office, then go back through a huge line again. 3 hours because of poor attention to detail. Please train or fire your bad employees. It's an employers market- find better people to manage your loads!!!! I get paid per mile, I'm not interested in working for free because of poor hiring practices!!! You're losing money too by not having your goods shipped.

10:15 am 4/20. Guard is extremely rude. There are two lanes. However, there's no sign saying only use one. I pull into lane at far right. Guard come ask me is there a reason I didn't pull into left lane. Yes there is. There's a truck there plus there's no sign saying only use one or both lanes. So, one would naturally assume both lanes could be used. He tried snapping at me again. So I let the window up. Now he's making me wait. But it's cool. I'm a truck driver. Waiting is what I do.

Update. He just come to the truck talking about he almost forgot about me. Like really, how did you miss a truck sitting right next to you? He said I'm gonna cause an accident because I'm in the right lane. I'm like if you don't want someone using the right lane. Put up the traffic cone.

Everyone there was super nice and polite. There's plenty of room to move around in. Only bad thing is they don't allow overnight parking, they have a HUGE mostly empty yard but can't give the drivers a small corner to park in.. this close to Houston that would be super helpful. They have bathrooms and vending machines for the drivers.

They told me at 4am that I had to wait for the office to open at 6:30am because they couldn't find my load. I parked in the very long, very open driveway. I'm not blocking anything, I'm just waiting for the office to open. Should be fine right? Nope. Security pulled up 20 minutes later and threatened to call the police saying, "this is not a truck stop". Really getting sick of the lack of respect for drivers. This is a warehouse, if you didn't have drivers, you wouldn't have a job.

Easy in and out at this location. Knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff. Very clean and organized distribution facility. The security team in place is fantastic, and diligent in their duties, I have never felt more secure within a business. The employees are friendly and thoughtful, and genuinely interested in their positions. Service is fantastic and quick, with loads and unloads being a breeze. This is a very well planned and conducted operation, enabling ease for all involved.
