One of my favorite ways to spend the day! The scenery is beautiful! Boat rental is easy. Service is excellent. Don’t want to clean the fish you catch? Don’t worry they’ll do that for you!! Whether you are a local or from out of town, highly recommend Red River Trout Dock.

My husband and I took our 8yr old trout fishing for the first time at the Red River Trout Dock Resort in Heber Springs, AR.

It was a wonder experience!! The Little Red River itself is absolutely beautiful. The water is clean and clear, it looks like an aquarium.
The staff will treat you like family. Kasey taught us everything we needed to know about trout fishing. We wouldn't have caught the five trout that we did without her advice.
They will clean the fish for you and cook it for you, but cooking is depending on timing.

We stayed in one of the smaller cabins. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Perfect fishing cabin! We are planning another trip for later Fall with a bigger group of friends. We can't wait to go back! New tradition for our family for sure!

Red river trout dock is the best place to stay on the river! It’s pet friendly and family friendly. The dock is peaceful to sit on and watch the sunset or sunrise. They will teach you how to filet the fish you catch and if you ask they’ll even tell you how to cook it! The owners and workers are extremely friendly and very helpful!

One of my favorite places to unplug and unwind! The views are second to none, the fishing is top-notch and the service is wonderful! The shop has got everything you need to catch fish and they will even clean your catches! Do yourself a favor and plan a quick trip!

Went for a guided fishing trip and had an excellent time. The guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating and even cleaned + filleted the fish for us. Highly recommend

*1st - rooms were nice, clean, and updated. We stayed in cabin 20. FYI - water heater is small, so expect a super quick shower or prepare to get cold water. Has a coffee pot, microwave, and fridge. They have wifi, but it's weak - the tv barely worked. Booking was easy. Parking is very limited behind the cabins. I'm not sure how they can fit 4 vehicles in there.
*2nd - I booked here with the sole purpose of fishing with my son & spoke to the owner about a guided trip. I even called early the day of arrival to inquire about the complete licensing requirement- which is $50 per person for non-resident trout fishing and to inform that we'd be a late arrival since I'm 4hrs away. Got up early to meet the guide at the dock at 7am to find out from the owner that the water levels in the river have been too high for fishing "ALL WEEK" because the dam has been releasing extra water and that the "spring really isnt a good time to fish here". So because of that, the fish are "in survival mode & fishing really is nearly impossible". This guy let me book a room for $130, travel 4 hours one-way, buy meals for 2, & buy 2 $50 fishing licenses ALL FOR NOTHING. He did give us a free "tour of the river" & provided poles we could needlessly cast, but I came to catch fish. Basically, this dude just took my money for the room & wasted my time. I'm from out of town & he knew it, so I don't know the ins & outs of the river levels. Also when I called initially & asked about booking the fishing trip I asked about what would prevent us from going fishing (guided) and he said "we pretty much go out under any condition except for thunderstorms". Never once mentioned river levels.
IF you trust this guy with your time & money, make sure to ask specifically about the current water levels & current fishing conditions before you spend your money with him.
Logan - this is no way to treat a customer when you're trying to grow a business like this. If you'd have been up front with me when I called, I would have just scheduled for a later date. I thought a business with 4.6 stars, my trip would have turned out better.
I definitely do not recommend this business and won't be returning.
Update to your response: when I first spoke to you that morning, you told me they'd been dumping too much water all week- why did you even let me buy a fishing license? If I were in your shoes, I would've brought up the water levels & told the customer to wait until the morning of to purchase the licenses. It's one thing for you to take my money on the room but you let me throw away $100 on 2 licenses needlessly. That's just wrong - you knew I couldn't fish before I ever left home. That's going to cost you more than my business ultimately.

My family had the most amazing time catching trout guided by Logan! Caught 18 fish and had a blast. He taught us so much so much about trout and the environment they’re living in. Felt so at home with this family business! I’m super new to fishing and was so comfortable learning. Thank you Red River Trout Dock Resort!!
