The guy at the guard shack had all the intelligence personality and helpfulness of a tree stump, that being said my delivery was a frozen load on the 300 side so it was a very easy backing job as you can see from the pictures. From the 300 side it is a bit of a hike to door 429 and if you're out of shape it's going to kind of suck but if you're physically even remotely in okay shape it's not that bad. As many of the other people on here have said the 400 side is insanely tight. They started to physically unload my truck in less than 15 minutes of me giving them the paperwork and were done and I was out in under 3 hours, not great but not bad especially for a big grocery distributor. Overall I give this a 3 out of five. To be honest there's a lot that they could do to improve things here if they cared, but that's not exactly uncommon especially for big warehouses.

Low score for dock side 400 only. People are nice. I had frozen and deli on my truck. Had to call shipper to find out how the truck was loaded so they knew which side to dock me first. My load was mixed so I was sent to 300 side first, easy backing. Then 400 side is where your skills are tested. It’s easier if the driver next to you drops trailer to move out of your way. Be prepared to do the same for the next driver. Same when it’s time to leave.

I don’t know why all the bad comments. My experience was nothing short of exceptional. No doubt these docks are are rather tight. Nothing a decent driver can’t do. Very professional from the security gentlemen to the yard dogs and receiving. It’s busy. Nothing we don’t see on a normal basis and when it comes to reviews, I’m either extremely kind or brutally nasty. There ain’t no in betweens.

Only get there 1 hour be4 your appointment time, must wear high vis vest. Guards very nice and helpful. Didn't have to dock on the (hard to back up) side, we dock dock 331. Plenty of room to maneuver and dock. I asked a worker there, where is the office? He took my paperwork and handed it in for us. Started unloading us within 30 minutes. Have porta John's for bathroom and vending machines across the way from dock 342. Super nice, respectful staff! Enter at 2nd entrance on right when coming from the freeway! I believe 105 freeway! I put a pic of the tight docking area!

People are nice. But damn, 2 hours for a dock after appointment time, only 3 pallets, appointment for 1600 dock at 1800 it’s 2038 light is still red… it’s tight… person to your left will have to unhook for you to get in there…

Edit: from 3 stars to 2. Left at 0140.
Mind you, 3 pallets, 306 cases. Idk what to think? Maybe they’re just understaffed ? Kind of ridiculous for a DC. I just can’t imagine a full trailer… I’ll make sure to never come here again, was almost late for my 0300 appointment in Brea. I hope management does something about their unload times, Ralph’s needs to get with the times, learn from Costco, or even Walmart…. Have drivers disconnect and bobtail somewhere, it’s too tight, people struggle, I had to help 2 other drivers to back in, had to unhook twice to make it POSSIBLE for others to get docked.

Very tight, and I’m new driver.
Also I have very bad alley dock skill too.
So horrible.
I spend time for backing almost 1hr but still can’t go to docking door.

I have to ask 2-3 driver to help me for backing.

Omg

This location not good for a new driver like me at all.

Also waiting for unloading total 6 hrs god~
