Under new management, People’s Hardware is making a comeback. I stopped by to grab some fittings and was greeted kindly and offered a piece of cake. I was also encouraged to fill out a card and put it in for their drawing of a Barbecue Grill. Ok, I didn’t win the grill, but I did win a pair of Bluetooth lightbulbs. They are the coolest! I put them above our kitchen island and when the music is playing, it feels like it’s everywhere around you. Pretty neat, if I say so myself 😁. Thankyou People’s.

While the staff is friendly and nice, the New ownership has raised prices significantly on many products. Large boxes of Miracle grow went from 13.99 to 19.99 while prices in wal mart and tractor supply were around 12 dollars. Inflation is happening, no doubt, but stuff is going up way faster and higher than is the rest of the economy. If this continues to happen, they will not be getting my business any longer. It'll be cheaper to drive to Lowes. Combined with the loss of garden seed and lawn mower parts, it has already lost a lot of shopping value to me. Too bad this has happened. But this is a poor community, and it seems like another business wants to live on the backs of the poor customers that have limited ability and time to shop elsewhere. Miss Merrit's.

We greatly miss Bill, Mo and Gerald.
James and Carol have taken over Fitzgerald's favorite hardware store.
Now "People's Hardware" they are providing the same great friendly service as the Merritt's.
They are providing Fitzgerald and surrounding areas with a huge hardware innovatory. Plumbing, Electrical, hardware, yard, home and more.
