I worked here for 2 years and they are the WORST driveaway company. I took a truck from Fort Payne Alabama to California and it went over $600 in fuel and they didn’t reimburse me a brown penny. EVERY truck you take for them you will go over in fuel. They will leave work on Friday without paying. There are several holidays that I went without getting paid. They aren’t for their drivers at all. So glad I no longer work here .

There are tons of driveaway companies out there, only norton has treated me with respect and they treat me like a family. Dispatchers are great to work with and equipment is top notch!!!! I love this place. I get the whole time I choose I get to see very cool places in at the same time I get to pick up Cool equipment. On top of that they provide you with a car rental to so you are not stranded when you deliver!!!

I Needed some equipment moved in a short time frame, I reached out to Michael and he was able to provide me an ETA for pick up within the hour. I was blown away by how fast they were able to secure the shipment and securely have my freight delivered. I received location updates throughout transit and had a direct line of communication with someone the entire time. 10 out of 10 experience for me and would highly recommend anyone letting them move your freight.

I wouldn't work here long term great pay( only when its busy) but typical trucking company dispatchers are hard to get in contact with the only one that seems to do they job is kaylee the rest are hard to get in contact with wont message back, won't call back, etc. Make sure you have your travel set up before 5pm or you will be stranded somewhere don't get stuck somewhere on the weekend cause there's no one to call or text for fuel or travel you will find yourself stuck somewhere paying for unnecessary hotels they only give you $75 a night for hotel rooms. Make sure the Def is full cause you will be charged $100 or so for Def fuel that's under the F mark, theres other things they charge you for that may of happened in transit so be careful. Like I said good lil gig to run up a bag real quick if you not scared of work but I wouldn't live off of it cause they will do you dirty just like any other trucking company

Latest Edit: as contractors we were asked numerous times to leave positive reviews in exchange for the possibility of a bonus. At the time I was only one of less than a dozen whom left reviews but nothing. Anyways, constant efforts having to get in contact with a dispatcher, poor communication(example: when your dispatcher goes on vacation). I could go on and on about the ways they want to give bonuses but figure out a way to screw you out of it. Then tell you that you should be grateful for it. My review in all honesty was an effort on my behalf to get more money.

Tons of work to be had and at a fair scale! My dispatchers are the best!

Edit: A year after posting this review and I’m still with Norton Transport. I lease a trailer from them and do boom work and I wouldn’t want to contract with anyone else. I only contract with Norton and when you are loyal to them they are the same in return!!! They have great pay, understanding dispatchers, and a great app with 99.9% uptime! Full disclosure I run hard, and I don’t work every week and I’m still close to pushing close to $175,000+ this year.
