Dewey and the team at North Georgia Timber did an amazing job, far exceeding our expectations. They met with us, discussed our options, and the executed the plan to perfection, despite crazy weather and some rather hilly terrain. When they were done, they left the area better than they found it, including reassembling my fence with newer materials.
I could not recommend a company more than North Georgia Timber. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I contacted North Georgia Timber to have them do a 50% thinning and to clear cut a couple of small areas on 25 acres we bought in the Fairmount area of Gordon County. Dewey and his guys all met with my husband on the property to go over the scope of work to be done. They were professional and did everything we needed done as discussed. They also made a new access road for us to get better access to the northwest corner of our property and cleared an area we hope to be our future homesite. The land was left in good condition for such a major logging operation, and they were prompt in finishing the job and the payment processing. I would definitely recommend their services.

Due to our tract of land being small with no easy access for large equipment, we could not find anyone who was willing to cut the timber. Our neighbor had N. GA Timber clearing part of his land. With the help of Dewey Sherrer and coordination with our neighbor, Dewey was able to clear cut our property. Dewey was helpful, considerate and professional in every aspect of this job. He carefully explained everything and made sure everything was accomplished as he explained. Ricky, the logger, was great! He went above and beyond to make sure everything was cut to our specifications. He was amazing to watch as he accomplished his task and he was also helpful, considerate and professional. It was truly a pleasure to deal with N. GA Timber and they fulfilled their obligations with no problems or hassles. We highly recommend N. GA Timber, based on our experience, and feel certain they would do an excellent job for everyone.

Absolutely an awesome experience. Dewey came out on a Saturday to meet me at the property due to my schedule. We walked the acreage and he listened to my situation. My property was in the transition of becoming my farmstead. I had orchards, barns and even bee hives on the premises. He listened to my concerns as well as my plans for the property. He educated me on my options and I was able to make the best, most informed decision for the future of my property. Dewey respected my concerns enough to invite Steve, who runs the cutter, up to the property (again on a Saturday) to make sure we were all on the same page. The entire experience was way better than I thought. The communication was swift and on point with the whole crew. I highly recommend North Georgia Timber!

We are so glad we were put in touch with Scot to oversee some selective harvesting on our ~35 acre timber tract. We have a complicated mix of swampy hardwood bottoms, upland pines and mixed hardwoods. Scot understood our desire to keep things looking good but encourage new growth. He was always available for questions and I really believe Scot looked out for our interests. We would highly recommend North Georgia Timber.
