The facility itself is nice, well lit and safe. The low score would be because I didn’t get a chance to view my unit and it is too small. I rented after hours but I ask the very next morning to upgrade and was told that I could not without it talking my first month s rent I paid on the original unit. I really don’t understand why, I had not put any items in it yet

I’ve not had any issues or concerns with Midgard so far. They were recommended by my daughter in law. I understand why. The registration process was nice and easy. Access to the nice clean unit was easy as well. I appreciate transactions that are above board & uncomplicated.

The price went up $30 over four months, they threatened to charge an "unsecured unit" fee after telling me to clean my unit out, and they lied about accepting my request to end my lease. Charging an extra month over their clerical error is not acceptable behavior from a business. I wouldn't recommend you deal with them.

9/2024 Update! The price has now gone up to $105.95 and they are installing DaVinci locks at their control, not the tenants. We will now be paying to rent the lock and they will have full control of the lock! I would have left long before now if the contents in the unit were mine. We are managing for a family member who is relocating to the area. This place is unbelievable!

4/30/24 Update! Just got a notice that our rate is going up to $96 per month! ? This place is a rip off!

4/3/24 Update! More lies! They found their lock (see below) and said we would receive a credit. Yet, we were charged $78.50. This is a mismanaged company. No one seems to know what they are doing. It is not my ongoing responsibility to call this company every month to force them to do what is right!

We have rented a unit at the Cloverleaf location, and the communication and experience have been terrible. The lock that was assigned to the unit did not work. After several phone calls and waiting on hold at the facility, on 2/24, they gave us a new code that finally unlocked the unit. We loaded our things into the unit and left for the evening to have dinner, then stopped and picked up our lock. As instructed, we went back (same day, 2/24), replaced the lock, and dropped their lock (with our unit# marked on the back) into the drop box designated for the return of their Davinci locks. I was still billed for the lock. I am so confident in my actions that I am willing to share the combination they gave me for theirs! I am not worried because that lock is NOT on my unit! The communication has been abysmal. You can call, and you might get a friendly person, and you might not. Most of the time, the person answering has you on speaker, and all you can hear is their household noises in the background because they work from home and not onsite. I can say, without reservation, this is my first and my last experience with this company. I am thankful this is a temporary situation.

I gave 2 stars because the unit itself is very nice, otherwise it would have been 1! This is the third time I’ve rented a unit at this exact location and the new fully automated rental process is AWFUL! Overall, the process took way too long! I then provided my proof of insurance that is literally included through escrow in my mortgage payment yet they need another copy in a month! Ridiculous!! Again, I’ve rented here before and I only had to provide that proof of insurance ONCE! They also no longer provide a veteran discount only “active” duty and it isn’t much. Very disappointing! Lastly, it’s probably NOT a good decision to harass someone for feedback! ?‍♀️

Fast and easy to get set up for a unit! But don’t ever try to cancel your lease ‍♀️ it’s a pain in the butt and everyone you talk to about it is rude!

I have rented multiple units from Midguard Athens-Cloverleaf over the last year and a half, and they are truly the best storage facility that I’ve ever dealt with. Extremely professional staff and very well kept, secured facility. The staff truly walks the entire property and tests each lock daily. They’ve caught on several occasions when my helpers didn’t lock mine back properly by the next morning which is very much appreciated. One may pay a bit more for this facility, but in storage facilities, I find you definitely get what you pay and totally worth it for a secure, clean, and well monitored facility to keep the riff raff out. I highly recommend it.
