here is the situation,
Before booking a load I've been told that we will be loaded to a legal limit, Our trucks with trailers can haul up to around 46k lbs of freight and stil lbe under 80000lbs
we got loaded at shipper in Sandusky MI, with overweight of 82000lbs on gross since there is no scales at shipper we proceed our way to receiver because it was tight schedule we had to get first scales which were on our route to receiver,
These Scales were around 150 miles out from shipper and when we got there we found out that we are 82000lbs gross and shipper was already closed that day.

I decided to not rise the drama and didn't waste your brokerage time and money, because due to regulations your brokerage-customer had to bring road assistance to the scales to get us reworked altogether with boxvan-dryvan with a liftgate so that would work out, and we could proceed to the receiver.

Since we've made 80 miles of deadhead and 150 miles from shipper and to the shipper all together 380miles on the rate of 2.74$ per mile I did asked 700$ only without even asking for compensation for lost day and dedicated reload from VA which is paying much more! and agreed to cover another 300$ from our company to the driver which is former veteran Owner Operator.

We brought the load back to shipper by our selves taking a risk on our shoulders and worked on two options like to get compensated at least 700$ at worst or 1000$ at best for customers mistake or if the receiver would of been working till late same day we would just take some freight off so it would be legal and we would proceed with straight through delivery, since receiver wasn't working till late we decided to get unloaded fully and left from there as we had a good to go from broker.

NOW IM RECEIVING THESE 150$ for all the hustle and amount of work done, please tell me is that fair ?
