Update: "After 40 years, Larry and Deborah Hancock retired to only working their farm and sold this business at the end of last year. The new owner is running this place very differently. He doesn't participate in the same co-op Larry was a part of and doesn't have any new merchandise besides alcohol and tobacco. There is almost no produce anymore. We've tried to shop here but, honestly, it is a very different store with little merchandise. The last time I shopped here, the store was empty and I stood at the cash register a full 10 minutes before the clerk even appeared from the back room. Then, I was charged 9.75% in TN sales tax on $50 in food items! When I returned with receipt an hour later, it took a 15-minute phone call with the owner for the clerk to correct it and hardly an apology. We wanted to continue shopping here, and gave it 3 full months. Unfortunately, there's nothing here to keep us coming back and can no longer recommend."

Former review: Larry's is part of our regular weekly grocery stops for good reason. Larry is one of the few meat cutters in town. He gets overstocks at times and sells meat frozen and at a discount. He offers great discounts on produce, but it's unpredictable, so we always pop in to see his specials. I've twice gotten 50# of seed potatoes in the spring, once for $5, once for $10! Larry and his wife have operated this store for a few decades so you're supporting the local economy when you shop here! We highly recommend.

Perfect place for expired meats and produce..immediately when you walk in your 5 senses tingle! smells like fish and mold…you can hear the shrikes from the customers looking at the food selection… there was a white sticky substance on the floor near the feminine hygiene isle, i slipped and slid across the ground, OUCH! Only reason its getting 5 stars is because they had one option for orange juice, i guess larry know best!

This store has been here my whole life (38yrs). I went 2 school w/Larry's son & they're very nice ppl, clean store, very helpful when u need it, nice employees, decent parking area, & it's within walking distance down town. Totally recommend shopping here. Prices can vary at times & be a little pricey just depending what u get.

It is just a little hole in the wall place but they have some good deals and recently found out they have the kind of honey me and my family love. You can buy it in a small jar or up to a 4 pound jar. Which is what we get. We use honey in just about everything. It's called tennessee U.S.A. honey if you want good honey go there to buy it. We really missed it last year due to the honey place having shortage of employees but he is back in business and had the best honey around at least that is what we think.

I always stop there on my way through several times a year. Usually, find some deal. This time, besides a few things that I needed, was free eggplant. I made an eggplant lasagna sort of. It was delicious.
