It’s a great place for training however if you’re a new buyer, buy a gun from Academy Sports. I bought a gun from Stoddard’s years ago before the Perimeter Academy Sports existed and it was still Bed, Bath, and Beyond and now realize that I spent way too much on a gun. There are waaaay cheaper options at Academy Sports.

I recently took a class with Instructor Cannon, and it was only my second time handling a firearm. He did an exceptional job teaching me the fundamentals of firearm safety and proper shooting techniques. Throughout the lesson, we focused on various drills to improve the accuracy of my aim. I've been going almost every weekend to this range for about 2 years. I far prefer the old Stoddard's management to the new Freedom Range. Ammo is still decently priced, lots of rental options, but it feels the the bar has been lowered with some of the new staff. In my experience, range employees hold a certain demeanor of attentiveness that I haven't experienced with some of the new crew. Distracted people and firearms aren't a good mix.

I love this range and I got my first gun here. Skye is very nice and friendly and he is real and very practical. The staff are really friendly. Tyrone is really nice too and whenever he in the range, he would come over and teach me a few things or two and he is very knowledgeable about firearm. I decided to become a member at this range and it’s been the best experience so far.

had an excellent experience working with Levi Najarro at Stoddard’s Gun Range to get my Thunder Chicken silencer by Q. This was my first time purchasing a silencer, and Levi was there to guide me every step of the way. He walked me through setting up my Silencer Shop account, handling all the NFA paperwork, and understanding the entire process. Levi was super professional, answering all my questions like a true expert, and made the whole experience fast and enjoyable. I’m really grateful to him and the team at Stoddard’s – they made a complicated process easy and stress-free. Highly recommend!

I took three lessons with Cannon, and I can’t recommend him enough! When I started, I was extremely nervous, but his calm demeanor and clear instruction immediately put me at ease. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made safety the top priority, which helped build my confidence from the very first lesson. Rude and unsafe cashier person caused a miserable experience. DO NOT COME HERE.

What was supposed to be a fun visit with a law enforcement friend to learn about shooting firearms became a miserable & embarrassing experience. The toxic cashier mistreated me and my date with needless rudeness in front of our friend. What was still worse than that was when the cashier refused to walk me thru gun basics on their false gun per their rules after he did it too quickly once. Instead, he asked me to show him before we were allowed to head to the range. I repeated I'm here to learn but he refused to demonstrate again, demanded I show him, and kept telling me I'm wrong. Toxic, uncomfortable, weird and unnecessary behavior. This is wildly poor customer service and UNSAFE practices. Does management and ownership struggle to hire normal even-tempered people or are they toxic themselves and create this culture top-down? Since my party felt embarrassed and unsafe, we have never returned since this incident happened and have taken our business to better ranges.
