Very, very upsetting & extremely frustrating process applying for a business license in Forsyth County. I spoke to several people including the so called manager in their office & no one seemed to know what they are doing. They told me to "correct" things I had on my paperwork even though I argued to keep how I had it...turns out they had me do it incorrectly & now I'm being told if it has to be fixed I'll have to pay the large fees all over again! For THEIR mistake! They certainly do not care how much stress they have caused me. They seem annoyed just having to talk to me.
Keeping a long story short (b/c there were many more issues) but they are just awful. It seems they just want your money & for you to leave them alone. My business was in Gwinnett County for 13 yrs & I never dealt with anything like this.

Absolute joke!! I have been trying to renew my business license for 2 months online tabs would not work have been in to the office twice already still do not have my business license! This government bureaucracy and red tape is what our forefathers warned us about!! What happened to the simple times when I could go in pay for my license and walk out!

I'm very surprised by the lack of friendliness and customer service of this entity. You show up to submit you business renewal forms and are adamantly told you cannot submit forms in person and are required to submit them online. I'm not sure what the purpose is to even have an open service window if you deny service. "Service" is not available here.

This office is completely inept. The staff is unfriendly and do not care one bit. I have never been treated so poorly by any county in Georgia in setting up a business, It took 4 months to get my business license due to their inability to explain the process in their county, from inspections to the board approving the license,

If you plan on opening a business here, make sure you set up your lease with a provision that you do not have to pay rent until your license is approved, I have seen more than one other business go through the same problems and almost go broke before they even opened,

Go somewhere else is my suggestions!!

Called to get some information about business license renewal and I spoke with Brandy. She provided me the information I needed but she could REALLY use some training in professionalism! She seemed annoyed with the questions I was asking and her answers were very short like she was just trying to get me off the phone.
