I was looking for a reliable freight forwarder to ship items from the U.S. to Colombia, but my experience with Fenix Envios ServiEntrega was extremely disappointing. I won’t be using them again and highly recommend CaribbeanShipper.com instead—they actually delivered!

Communication with Fenix was confusing and reactive, far from the friendly service I've come to expect from Colombians. No one here spoke English and I had to rely on translator apps to have conversations.

Timeline of What Happened:
2/11/25 – I contacted them on WhatsApp for pricing to ship specific products. They quoted $1.94/lb + $10 insurance per box.

2/12/25 & 2/14/25 – I had two products delivered to their office.

2/14/25 – I checked in to confirm everything was on track. They said it was all fine and specifically told me not to send any personal info over WhatsApp—that their office would handle it.

2/18/25 – I still hadn’t heard from them, so I followed up. Now they asked me to send my personal info via WhatsApp (despite telling me not to before), and they suddenly said the price would be 2.3x higher than originally quoted. They also refused to ship one of the two items (a box of 50 petri dishes), even though I had already purchased and shipped it to them with their knowledge. They started mentioning vague “commercial shipping” requirements and said they couldn’t guarantee customs wouldn’t confiscate the items. I felt they were changing the deal after they had the packages in hand.

2/19/25 – The owner, Paola, reached out. She confirmed they'd either ship both items for 2.3x the price or just one item at the original price. We spent three days going in circles trying to understand options that were never explained clearly upfront.

2/27/25 – I sent my brother to their office in person. He reminded them that the shipment was time-sensitive and had already been sitting there for two weeks. They promised to ship it that day.

3/25/25 – A full month later, the package still hadn’t arrived. Meanwhile, a shipment I sent through CaribbeanShipper.com arrived in 7 days.

I contacted Fenix again, and they passed the issue off to ServiEntrega Colombia. My Spanish is decent in person, but phone conversations made resolving this even harder. By now, they’d missed my delivery window, and I was leaving Colombia, so this was a waste of time and money.

For your peace of mind, avoid Fenix and go with someone reliable like CaribbeanShipper.com.

Update: They have an estimated time of 20-30 days, however the box arrived in less than 15 days to Colombia.

Second time this happened this year, the products were caught at the customs in Colombia, the customer paid and now I have to do the paperwork (fill up information) which you guys have for them in order to release the products at customs.
