My partner and I visited when it was closed but fully intend to take a dinner train next time we visit Eureka Springs. Seeing the old train station in person was really cool. Not only is there nifty old architecture to look at they have some old ginormous steam engines out front that you can get close to and view. Walking around feels like you have stepped back in time.

My husband and I had never been on a train, so we decided to have lunch on the train in Eureka Springs. Love that we could preorder our tickets and meals online the night before. The atmosphere was very enjoyable, the train station had some some old train things to see. The rail yard has some very old trains and cool things to walk around and see. Loved hearing about the history of the train we were going to ride on and the Ozark spring that runs through there. The train car was beautiful, loved that they kept it in its original design from the 1920's. Our server was wonderful and the food was great. Am only giving 4 stars as we thought our train ride was going to be a small loop for ~30 minutes, but we went mostly straight and stopped where we could see the small bridge, sat for about 15 minutes, and then went in reverse back to the train station. There could've been some repairs or something going on that we were unaware of, but all in all we still very much enjoyed our experience.

What an amazing experience. As if our visit to Eureka Springs couldn’t get any better! This was our first dinner train and it was so cool. They made sure it was a special experience for all of the guests. Brett was one of the waiters and he did such a good job. He was professional, attentive and really helped with the experience. He did the “Baked Alaska Train” and it was so cool! He did such a good job. The food was great. Only complaint was the prime rib needed to be a little less cooked. Prime rib should be rare and it was medium well but it was still good and not chewy. Everything else was amazing. It was so cool to be served in courses while we were riding the train. They do have bathrooms on the train which could be updated but they get the job done if you have to go. We will be doing this every year!

What a special place. This historic train depot is filled with all sorts of artifacts and everything inside has such a timeworn patina. Plus it’s air conditioned and there’s a vintage drinking fountain that has chilled water. My daughters enjoyed the train ride and lunch on the train - the service was great and my chicken salad plate was delicious. Perfect August day trip!!

We did enjoy this ride. We took the lunch excursion. You go down the track a little ways, maybe a mile or so, not sure and have lunch while moving. Then they stop and clear table and serve dessert. Soon we made our way make the same way we came. It was fun but definitely a one and done. My lunch, the hot deli sandwich was good, my sister had chicken salad and said it was dry. The dessert looked good, she said it was. It had pecans in it so I couldn't eat it.

A nice experience on an old functioning train. The rain didn't stop the guide to go along with all the fun stops. The historic events are interesting to listen to, and the conductor has a charismatic voice to go along with it.
All aboard!
