No. We moved from Alabama to Maine last year. The packers in the house were great. The packers in our outbuildings packed things that don't belong together in boxes.

I don't know what happened between Montgomery and Maine, but most of our furniture was broken when it arrived. We had irreplaceable Turkish furniture that made it from Turkey to Alabama, but somehow couldn't make the move to Maine.

The unloaders on the Maine side were slow and goofy. The truck driver had to help them because they were going so slow. One guy threw everything in the garage in a giant pile and stacked boxes up around it so I wouldn't notice until they were gone. He was also caught doing drugs in his car during a "break" toward the end of the move. He was agitated the whole time he was at my house.

They tried to move the big piece of furniture from Turkey in through the front door, but it wouldn't fit. They tried around the back and ended up dragging one side across the driveway because a drawer wasn't secured properly. All three guys were getting annoyed because they wanted to leave, so they bickered with each other. I told them to stop with that piece and leave it where it was before they tore it up more.

The loaders and unloaders are day laborers hired locally for cash pay. They aren't movers. They aren't even vetted. They are just men and women who move the boxes and furniture. If they mess up, the DRIVER has to have it docked out of his pay.

We've dealt with 6 professional movers and these guys are the worst. For $16k I thought they would at least have professionals involved. Evan the driver was great and very professional. The day laborers on the Alabama side were great. The day laborers on the Maine side were slow and unmotivated. Packers were pretty decent.

If I could redo this move, I'd use another company.

Only half way done so far. Moving my mom cross country from AL to CA. Can only say excellent things about our driver and crew on the AL side. On time. Careful. Asked questions to make sure we were all on the same page. Cedric, our driver, was proactive in making sure our move day went smoothly. There was supposed to be a crew of 2 people to help in addition to the driver, but only one showed up. Despite being one guy short, we didn’t think that made any difference as they were experienced and worked well together.

My wife and I have moved several times over the years and this was the best experience we've had from getting a fair estimate, the move coordinator keeping us informed of our shipment status to the driver and crew doing an excellent job. We had no damage to any of our belongings...and that's a first. Many thanks for making this such a seamless move. If we move again, we'll definitely give Coleman Worldwide Movers a call.Steve and Nancy Flanagan

This was my second interstate move with Coleman, and while they’re expensive (what ISN’T expensive these days, right?), they did an outstanding job of packing, loading, moving, unloading, and setting up. With Coleman/Allied, I had a trusted partner to make the transition smooth. They followed up numerous times before, during, and after the move to make sure things went well and everyone was on the same page. While I don’t ever plan on moving again, I would only trust Coleman if it had to happen! These folks are great!

Samantha Hallford was my move coordinator. She was in contact throughout my move and handled any questions I had. Samantha's efforts would lead me to use Allied Coleman for any future moves. If she says she will do something, she does it.

I am writing to formally complain about the poor customer service I received when I called your headquarters on 7/232024 1130am. The receptionist who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional and rude. This experience was disappointing and unacceptable, especially considering the high regard I previously held for your company.

AVOID BY ALL MEANS POSSIBLE

This was a military move and easily the worst move (out of nine) I've ever experienced. The team that arrived was completely under-resourced to accomplish my delivery in a timely, careful, and safe manner.

1. I never received a call the day prior regarding a window to expect delivery.
2. Based on the moving manager's advice, I showed up to the delivery site at 0800. I was later advised the movers would arrive between 0900-1100.
3. At around 1000, the lead mover called from the moving center to delay my shipment due rain to possibly the next day, which would have had countless ripple effects to my other appointments.
4. The moving truck arrived shortly after 1130 with three personnel to deliver more than 7000 lbs to my residence on the third level of a building without an elevator.
5. I worked shoulder to shoulder with the crew to carry my belongings to my residence to speed up the delivery, with all of us suffering varying levels of heat exhaustion in the Alabama humidity and heat.
6. The under-resourcing of personnel contributed to the crew’s fatigue and carelessness with handling packages. At multiple times, I witnessed boxes dropping from the truck or off of dollies.
7. There was only time to drop boxes with very little unpacking completed at the time of delivery. I had no chance to check damage to the home or belongings before the movers departed and there was no time for furniture assembly.
8. We ultimately finished the delivery and paperwork around 1840 that evening. If I had not contributed to the effort, the delivery would have continued well into the night.

This was my first time doing a long distance move, and I'm glad I went with Coleman/Allied Van Lines. They weren't my cheapest quote, but because of their great customer service, I decided to choose them as I felt I would be well taken care of by them - and I was. Anthony, who surveyed my place and stopped by on my loading day, was pleasant to work with. I was told by my truck driver that it's not often they see quality control on the same day of loading especially on a weekend, so to me that says a lot about how much Coleman cares about their customers. My moving coordinator, Samantha, was also so helpful in answering all my questions and being patient with me. If I had the choice to choose them again in the future, I certainly would!
