The owner of this company is very shady. Over many years I watched him take advantage of employees 😔 including myself. He even misclassified his employees willfully, add made an effort to pass his liability off to them as well. He will utilize bad business practices, misleading contracts, and shady lawyers in an attempt to gain control of an employee or a carrier. Do yourself a favor and do not deal with this company. For carriers in particular, know that you are nothing more than a factoring referral for them. Once you sign up for his factoring package he doesn't care if they get you a load or not.

Cargomerica does a few things right. They find real legit loads. I don’t have to worry about double brokering especially in California. They also have a lot of connections with the brokers. In Califronia double brokering is rampant. Brokers have to be careful, so they offer the loads directly to previous drivers. Not sure how many people work at Cargomerica but it feels like they have got hundreds. Someone always answers the phone. The other thing I really like about Cargomerica is how they negotiate. They never settle on the price, they get the broker up to a fair price. This makes their services worth it.

I had a load that the broker did not want to honor. About 7 different trucks were there. 2 of those trucks used Cargomerica as dispatchers. They got a hold of them and let them know what was happening. Those drivers got better loads and got paid from the broker. The drivers told me that their agent at Cargomerica helped them out and got it settled. I had been on the phone with the broker and was on hold for hours, it was not going anywhere. The 5 other trucks that did not have cargomerica as a dispatching service also tried to get a hold of the broker. I called cargomerica let them know my situation, told them I was not a client but that I needed some help. They helped me and the other five carriers get paid and find a load close by at no charge. I have been using their dispatching service ever since. That is the kind of people you are dealing with. They care about the carrier. They back up what they say. I can’t recommend them enough.
