Had a well below average visit here as well. Others had mentioned in their reviews the place is slow and most of the dock workers very unprofessional with a very low level of respect for someone else’s property. I can agree to all of the above.
I arrived on time for an 8am appt on 12/11/23. Coming north up I-95 from Richmond Hill TA. Exited on I-16 east and Exited off onto I-516 north which turns into GA Hwy 21 north. You need to be on north side cause of median blocking south side from turning into Cargo Grps yard.
They open at 8am. Sliding steel gate to yard with arms that lift and lower after sliding gate opens + closes.
Checked in with front office(very professional) instructed me to enter warehouse and give loading crew any information or instructions on how I wanted things loaded(picking up firewood-28 skids)and was given docks 1 thru 8 to back into.
Got into Dock #3 and waited. After putting loading paperwork in back of trailer could see a few of the warehouse personnel sitting up in the rear area of warehouse having conversation amongst themselves.
Kept waiting for any loading to start or somebody to acknowledge me, crickets. Approximately 20 mins go by and another truck backs in and immediately gets waited on. A little more than an hr goes by and loading that truck finishes, but the talking continues amongst themselves.
Things finally quiet down and that truck leaves. I make it into warehouse by climbing up a steel/rebar style ladder outside beside dock. It appears a couple of the crew have started to pull my order and stage it(slowly but surely)near + around Dock .
I notice later, after most all the order is pulled, that there are 4ea skids that are set on dock plate indicating these were going to be pushed on vs lifted on with the forklift. “That’s not gonna work “as I got the attention of one of the other higher ranking crew members. “Lift all skids into TLR”.
He told the loading crew member on forklift and that person did not react well at all.
For some reason it set off a negative vibe and we eventually had words which at one point I was asked to go wait in my truck (which I didn’t). He didn’t like me watching and I believe was going to try and sneak a damaged skid on as well ,that was later pulled aside and taken away.
I was finally loaded and a little over 2 hrs later I was leaving. This was a 5 stop delivery and today 12/12/23 on 4th stop(look at what the Shippers disgruntled forklift operator did to my 2023 Great Dane TLR floor)receiver uncovered major gouging on floor (see pics).
I would think twice if I were to return to this location in the future. After seeing damage to roof of a prior reviewers trailer, I was nervous to go in originally.
These warehouse workers don’t have much consideration for other people’s property or respect for it and what it costs. If they do anything, it will be the easiest way possible, Push vs Lift.
So for that experience alone, only a single star which the front office doesn’t deserve but what lifted the score up at all. No overnighting would be recommended( small space next to gate is a joke)and did not see any bathroom facilities for drivers. Surprised.?
Only positive I could see was that yard was cleaned up and most all equipment was cleared off.
Good luck if you decide to experience this place. Make sure to bring a camera! It’ll make filling the damage reports easier. Plus you get to see forklift dozers in action, don’t teach’em forklifting, only forklift dozing!
*Update 12/18/23: My wife reached out via email to Scottie(Operations Supervisor )to report damage to TLR. He denied all responsibility and over exaggerated my presence on dock as load was being handled or should I say mishandled. All he could do was whine about receiving her email while on vacation(which she was told he was traveling by receptionist). He and the whole bunch in warehouse are the whole reason for not trusting the integrity of this facility or returning for another dose of damage to my or your property. We have reported incident to Broker. Bought a $15 can of Dap Plastic Wood and applied 👍

No overnight parking. Shipping looks fast cause I checked in same time with two drivers and they got their loads in 1 hour and half. I am still here 2 and half hours for delivery and my truck is half away. Open only 8 am and gate is close to the road which can cause problems parking if you are early.

2nd time here and have had no issues. Nice people here. Today is 2/23/24. The trailers that were parked close to the docks at building one have been moved back a good distance.

Overnight Parking outside the warehouse (Spot on the right side of the gate)
Get your paperwork from left side of the gate, put it on back of the trailer.
They will get you loaded quickly.
They loaded me in 20 mins.

Nothing bad to say about this shipper. Checked in and was able to get a door immediately. Fast loading. You can park overnight at the gate off to your right.

Little hard to get to have to make u turn to get to place but once there very fast check in and loading only 4 star not 5 because of u turn
