I hate it here.

And if you look at all the other responses, the “Company” only responded to the two reviews about drivers running people off the road so they can protect their image with DOT. Not one response from Brown about how badly the former employees were treated or how poor of a performance the internal teams do. Clearly it shows they only care about themselves and money.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND-LEXINGTON SOUTH-
Inconsistent Freight, unreliable equipment, poor communication, misleading pay.

A mechanical issue with the DEF system, caused for the tractor to be out of service. Brown assured that there would be compensation for the breakdown but has since refused. (BBB COMPLAINT FILED AS WELL)

Since the beginning, there has been constant issues.
The hotel or their choice, while in orientation had no AC in the hallways, the elevator button was broken upon checked in. The first room I was assigned to AC was also out and the shower head was broken. The second room room wasn’t cleaned whatsoever and the third was was out of order but habitable so I took it.

Orientation was ok because I was the only new hire in the class and the trainer Jim was very kind.

I only worked for them for almost 2 months and it was the most stressful 2 months I’ve ever had with a company.
To name a few issues:
1)The work was inconsistent which means the pay was too; to be sure that you have work for the day you must call in every morning before starting your day.
2)Some of their customers are rude and disrespectful to their drivers and their isn’t anything they can do about it.
3) Trying to get in contact with the office, LEXINGTON SC is a nightmare! They barely answer the phones.
4)The truck began to give me issues (it was an older truck when I got it, it started up really rough. I asked for another or for the oil to be changed as a precaution and the shop refused saying that oil changes are only done with pm’s. It even had what appeared to be the original bed in it, the driver seat was broken and had burn stains, the dashboard was duck taped and the sun glass holder was entirely missing with paper and duck tape in its place).

This place is a Joke! From the management to the dispatchers and plan team! The freight is inconsistent and they send you places to sit for 2 days with no return load! No one communicates! They are crooks and skim money off the top and only pay drivers 30% of a load! My husband is a work horse and use to drive for Crete 4000 miles a week and was willing to work Hard!! He had zero support! They treat their employees like dirt and have no empathy they need to make a living! STAY Away! You will make more money at McDonalds! SERIOUSLY!!!

Suggestion! Fire everyone in management to the planners and dispatchers and start over!!

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!
After driving for this company as a local driver for 4 years enough was enough and luckily I found a better job. I've driven for 5 companies now and this one by far was the worst. Management is non existent at best, good luck getting a hold of anyone whether it be an issue with your check (which is very common) or an issue with your load (also very common). They expect you to pay for your hotel if you get stuck out and they tell you to fax in your receipt to get reimbursed only to find out that you didn't, then good luck getting a hold of anyone to fix it. They say they'll pay you detention after the first 2 hours, again good luck with that. They treat their drivers like dogs and will lie straight to your face just to shut you up. Now, here's one thing that happened that ended up being the final straw for me. I was accused of running a red light, was told I was being written up and that they were going to take my money out of my check for the ticket. After looking into the supposed incident, come to find out it wasn't even me. It wasn't my truck and I was 5 hours away from that traffic camera that day. They looked into it and after weeks of trying to get a hold of someone to tell me what the hell was going on, they informed me that they made a mistake. I could go on and on with this but I'll just reiterate, avoid this company like the plague!

Worst company ever to drive for they only care about getting the loads picked up and delivered!! It's never good morning be safe how is it going or thank you!! They have this young guy name jaquez who is terminal manager for only God knows the reason but he's absolutely not management or dispatch material!! He always call and says what's up u pickup my load just absolutely ghetto! And will absolutely lie to you about everything!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to this company you've been warned!!! I'd give this company a zero if I could!!! Past and present drivers are leaving this place immediately!! Never any empty trailers u will run hard for very little money!! Stay away from this place!!

Everything was fine until my 3rd load I brought from Monroe Louisiana to Covington Georgia. I had a live unload that went to door 67. I received a call from Jaquez to drop the load and bring back an empty trailer left on the lot? The security guard was confused as to why but proceeded to tell me to go ahead and move next to where I was for the trailer to be unloaded in door 68 later. I was confused as to why he asked me being 3 other drivers had drop and hooks and had left? I get over to the trailer only to realize it has a flat tire. Jaquez texted me to bring it to the terminal but to only take the back roads/ US route.
I was so upset and wondered why I was picked to put my CSA & CDL at risk being I just started with the company and how come the previous driver didn’t tell them the trailer tire was flat and why they hadn’t sent someone out to fix the flat? So it was either I sit all day and lose a days worth of pay or drive it up there with the tandems slid all the way to the front being it was a rear inner tire and I could get a reload once I got to the terminal.
So I did it unfortunately.

I get to the terminal and begged for a reload and I was given one back out to Louisiana. So I made it through the exhausting 5 o’clock traffic and parked in Moody Alabama. 2 hours prior to delivery. I get a call from safety to pull over. I was told I didn’t do a 10hr break? Fuel receipt/ breakfast receipt and paper logs in tow I was being forced to stop to do another break for no reason Then safety says I only parked 9hrs 15mins. Feeling this is intentional. I said ma’am it’s been heavy storms and flooding out 20 West and it’s been difficult to navigate through it after sitting for 3 hours in traffic. I asked Is there anyway I can get credit for eight hours split being the system is showing you this and it’s not correct, she says no.
This was my last day.
I have been 1099 my entire 12 year career and trying company out being it’s tough out here, I didn’t like to be bullied and the fact that I had just put my safety and cdl at risk the day before.
Well a week later Manny was fired, the only decent guy with a good heart and fairness left. Drivers are making $400 a week, some are bill poor due to paying weekly for health insurance premiums and living off cash advances. A lot live in their trucks and are miserable. I was also told by the recruiter that local drivers made significantly less, $10-$15 an hour which was a lie so that I would to take a regional position. I later found out being I applied for local.
