Update update update!!Bait and switched. Offered lower rates, but after signing up, there was absolutely no discount after a few billing cycles my bill tripled.

First set of pictures would have to be math out to see the price increase. Yes the electric usage was lower, but is an example of the last electric bill I received before switching to American power. On 2/1/25. I have added a picture to show how much my electric has increased in just 30 days. Usage of electric is very close. Price per kilowatt went from .173 up to .213. Mind you I also called took several hours to get a hold of someone and they were supposed to lower my per kilowatt price down to .050 but instead they increased it.

I haven't been with them long (haven't received my first electric bill), however, getting set up with them was very easy. Customer Service is very friendly and courteous. And they give you rewards, although I am unsure about all that as of yet but it's nice to receive something.

Selected AP&G as electric supplier for my mom in PA, have appreciated the flow of communication, the rewards program, and most of all a very competitive rate. For seniors with limited income, the Pennie’s saved per kilowatt really add up, especially over the winter months. Off to a good start!

They will not let you cancel your account. I have been trying for a few days now, and the line eventually forces you to leave a message which they never return. Do not recommend getting into business with this company.

I tried to switch to their 3 month introductory plan online, which went well procedurally until I got an email stating that I was to call them to complete my registration. I thought that to be odd, but okay. I tried to call multiple times since I attempted to sign up and cannot reach a representative to help me. IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT TO MAKE A SIMPLE SWITCH.

I now found another supplier who doesn't require a phone call for registration- it took all of 5 minutes to be registered and ready to go.

Don't take the bait. Absolutely and unethical company. They bait and switch customers. I took a low fixed rate and at the end of the contract they dumped me into a fixed price per month that was equal to $0.31 per KW - 3x current rate. After complaining they offered a variable rate that took two cycle to get...while I was paying the exorbitant price. After a month of the lower variable rate, I was then charged a rate that was 1.5x the average PA rate. Avoid the trap...choose another provider.
