I would encourage everyone visiting to take a trolley tour. So much easier than walking or trying to find a parking spot! Trolley has designated drop off/pickup spots, with trolleys pickups every half hour. Purchase on ticket and ride all day.

We have rode the trolly several times, on the past few visits. Nice because you don't have to worry about parking. Negative is the long waits between trolly visits. Also, the central hub downtown has multiple pick-up points, but don't communicate that to passengers waiting on a ride.

Terrible service and angry staff. Our trolley broke down twice and we had to get an Uber back to our car.
When I told the employee and asked for a refund. Instead, she told me to just catch the next trolley, as if she didn't understand I just paid a more reliable stranger to take me back into town.

Very disappointing. Don't use public transit unless you want to spend your time in Eureka broken down in front of a dollar general.

Update for reply: Thank you for reaching out, Keith. While appreciate the response I can assure you that we did need to use an Uber considering it would have made us late to our dinner.

As you mentioned, we did switch trolleys but opted just to get off after the 2nd break down because it was lurching 5-10mph back to the station 2+ miles away. Luckily we only encountered two breakdowns unlike other passengers with us that told us they had just gotten off another bus. They had 3 breakdowns and we're on their way to try out trolly #4 for the day.

I understand the equipment may be dated but I'd prefer reliability and I recommend others do the same.

Tuesday thru Saturday you can take a ride on an old train thru town. It’s so amazing how these retired trains are kept in the way and shape that they were left. My favorite was the old circus trailer. This is a whole new level of train enthusiast!

This is definitely a place to check out. I really wish that we were able to have done this tour

The boys really enjoyed looking at the old trains !
