The good - Often sales discounts. Reasonable hours. If in location gate by closing time, may stay later.
The bad - No bathrms. No electrical outlet to charge phone, elevators slow & often not working, Must pay to use dumpster.

Soo much to put... Let's see no access thru a back gate 1 way in and 1 way out, gate code sometimes breaks down which is understandable it happens, very few people who work for this spot are friendly and understanding, (shout out to RAY). Just a heads up the office isn't actually available here so making payments or trying to rent a truck or dolly must be done at the Goleta location, it's a tight squeeze thru the spots the cameras are on point they have very good angles of everything and since I've been here unfortunately I did have a slight interaction with a female (don't know who she was) but she was unfortunately rude and very demanding and kinda nosey she had the stones to open my storage while I'm standing by it and then lay down rules which weren't in the contract I agreed to but I did as she asked just because I'm not one to argue plus according to her it's 24 access but they really don't want you to enter after 8pm or enter before 5am but otherwise price is ok place is very well kept thanks to hard workers like ray and a few others id recommend this spot that's for sure

I've patronized several self-storage services in town over the years and I've seen & heard plenty. This one has everything from drive-up units to climate controlled in-door, with supplies available, friendly staff and a fair amount of access (5am-10pm) and that goes a long way. Not downtown, and not cheap, but clean, well attended and well-lit, they have my business.

This uhual location is on it and very reliable. Only took a few minutes to finish my reservation and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. 10/10 would recommend them and will be using them in the future. I also got a storage unit and it’s very clean. They also have air conditioning and fresheners so the building smells wonderful

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Stacy, the manager, is rude and does not care at all about helping her customers.

I had rented a unit towards the end of May and then when I went to the facility a week later, they said they couldn't find a record of my account. Thankfully, I still had the receipt they gave me and were finally able to bring up my account.

What happened was that they "allegedly" tried to call me (I had no missed calls and they never sent an email) because I had not moved anything into the unit yet (it had only been a week and who cares if nothing is in it, I payed for it). Due to the fact that there wasn't anything there and I didn't call them back (I seriously never got a call), they gave away my unit to someone else. They gave it away a week after I payed for it!!

Luckily, there was someone moving out of another unit the next week, so I was able to use that one. However, I did not receive a discount or an apology. To add to this horrible experience, Stacy was disrespectful and aggressive throughout the process. She needs to be replaced.

I have been using this location to rent trucks for my business. Anytime I need something they have anticipated my question and solved the problem, without me even needing to ask. They are polite and also quick so I don’t have to spend a day there like some truck rental places. They don’t nickel and dime either, seeing the bigger picture and appreciating the business. If all U-Hauls were like this, people would move furniture for fun...

I have been storing here for almost a year. I often leave messages for Stacy the manager, that take weeks to return.

I chose a unit that had elevator access. However, the elevator has been broken for over 3 months now and they say they have tried to repair but they can't get the parts. I was given a discount for 1 month of $20.

When I asked again about the elevator situation, I was told that it was not going to be fixed and that I can't get a discount again. The young man also said lucky to have the unit I have. (Really?) He then told me that they were going to remove the elevator from the other building.

I am very upset about this since I specifically chose this place because I could put my stuff on an elevator instead of going up and down stairs. I am a middle aged woman.

In addition, when I went to get some of stuff out of my unit, 3 weeks ago, all my stuff in the front of the unit was covered in saw dust. They had just repaired the floor outside my unit and must've have cut the boards right there. Needless to say, this is not what I would want or expect.

I am waiting now for 3 weeks for Stacy to return my calls. I have left multiple messages.

I am looking into renting from another business in town.

Follow-up: at 1:30pm today Stacy finally called me. She was defensive and said she tried calling me several times and left messages. I did not have any voice mails and only 1 missed call from last week. She kept saying she's done all she could do for me and that it wasn't enough. I responded by saying, that it seems like all you want to do for me is tell you can't do anything for me.

She didn't apologize for the sawdust in my unit, for the attitude of her staff (Enrique). She is a nice person, I believe, but she does NOT know how to run a business or treat her customers.

She did not even TRY to address 1 of my concerns. All she wanted to do was be defensive and make excuses. I will be moving out this week.

DO NOT RENT STORAGE FROM THIS PLACE!

Adriana Cortez is the GM at this location and was extremely helpful to me with an issue I had with my storage unit. Her service is A++, and she went above and beyond expectations. She gave me the different options I had, and followed up with me a day later. Adriana deserves to be commended, and recognized, and even a raise. Adriana is the standard by which customer service should be measured, and I thank her.
