Not only do I travel around America a lot, I travel by airplane quite a bit and this Airport was wonderful! From the beginning to the end. Obviously it's a smaller airport which helps but to be honest with you the people (even the TSA agents) were so nice and so helpful! I escorted my wife and daughter to the gate for their flight my wife was very nervous traveling with a 17 month old but everybody being so helpful and friendly made it stress-free getting to the gate. The Southwest team helped with getting on the plane and checking the stroller. Everything just went very smooth, and it made the experience enjoyable for everyone. I will drive out of my way to fly out of this airport when possible. Way to Santa Barbara Airport and Southwest Airlines.

First time flying in here to SBA and what a pleasant surprise. Quaint, clean, no crowds, logistics was a breeze, ride share was right out front, and then it hit me...that ocean breeze. I found not only did my attitude suddenly change for the better...but my posture as well.

Small but very nice airport!
Been to too many big airports so this is a real gem!
Pleasant and fresh wind the moment I’m outside. Cab driver was very friendly and welcoming.

Always nice to fly in and out of Santa Barbara instead of LAX. This time, it was actually cheaper! I was surprised to see so many people inside as I was leaving though - must be the holidays weekend.

Fantastic, quaint, small and easy airport. The astetics of the terminal (both new and old) are beautiful. Security is a breeze and not stressful. It's how air travel used to be. A much better option than the third world airport that is LAX

The airport has a nice layout and updated SB architecture look to it, It flows well and is very quaint. There is a good restaurant near the gates and a good coffee stand and nice modern bathrooms.
The car rental places are inside the airport, next to the luggage pickup, and the cars are just a short walk away.
Parking in and out is very easy.
It's the best small airport I've been to, I've been using it for many years. I've also been to many other small airports around the country.
The only issue is the luggage pickup is too small and gets very cramped with people trying to get their luggage at the same time.
If you're renting a car I would recommend getting in line for the car rental before you get your bags. The lines can be quite long and usually only one person working at each car agency. They have Hertz, Budget, Avis, National and I think one other.

Terrible airport. Dont come here. Please keep flying out of LAX and Burbank. Friendly people, beautiful environment, clean, enjoyable drive, easy parking... terrible qualities you don't want and can only get at LAX.
