We experienced fast, friendly and courteous service. Got the job done quick and back in the water. The accomadations for the Islander 36 ocean's deep keel were favorable. There is a good supply of "kid in a candy store" used parts. The team was Johnny on the spot with both new and used parts from inventory and next day orders. Definitely recomend this Marina under the new management. Five stars.

I think this place closed down. Not possible to get in contact with them by phone, no email, no website.

This place is great for the DIY boat work crowd. I had to do a bottom job on my sailboat and some other miscellaneous work, but couldn't find a yard in the city until the end of March. I wouldn't prefer to drive out to the delta, but being a reverse commute it was only about an hour each way, and the rates were so much more affordable than anything around the bay. I trailered my Catalina 25 to Marine Emporium where they put her on the lift and jack stands so I could work. Power and was was close by, and the yard was locked at night with cameras all over so I felt secure. It was only $20 per day and I finished all my projects in just over two weeks. They set the boat back on the trailer and I was on my way. My only complaint is they don't offer a vacuum sander to rent as most yards do, so I ended up buying a full setup for $300. Still came out ahead and had my boat back on the water much sooner. I'd gladly use this yard again.

Skilled, professional & patient. They charged us less than they had originally quoted. Highly recommended. These new owners at Marine Emporium boat works are cleaning up this place and made it completely secured with fencing and security cameras. One of the few boatyards in Bay Area that allow customers to work on their boats.

DO NOT BRING YOUR BOAT HERE!
My fiance and I just purchased our first boat from a very knowledgeable boater. He was upfront with the work that needed to be done, and has actually been super helpful even after the sale. The boat was already dry docked at Marine Emporium. After the sale, we met Jason.. (the Man In Charge) within 2 minutes of our very first conversation he was telling us that our boat was in horrible condition, and that it was not fixable.. that the steel pontoons had thousands of holes in them, and that we would never be able to get insurance. He tried to get money out of us that had already been paid by the previous owner, to put the boat back in the water. We spoke to many experts and had people look at the pontoons, there were maybe 20 fixable holes. Conveniently, Jason just happen to have some aluminum pontoons that he was trying to sell for $8,000, not including labor! He tried every trick in the book to squeeze money out of us. This guy is the worst kind of snake, and will do anything he can to get the most money out of you! Pease beware!! We have already moved our boat out of there, as we do not want to do business with this kind of man. He is unprofessional, and extremely dishonest! You have been warned.

BOATERS BEWARE!!!

The most dishonest person I've ever done business with (Jason).

I was referred to this place by a long time friend. We paid to have the boat pulled, He charged $1660 for a 47ft boat which included a months rent and power wash.

He told us:

1. Existing pontoons were junk, and they had hundreds of rust holes
2. Motor mounts completely rusted away and the motor box needed to be cutoff and repaired.
3. He told us that the diverter box was not repairable.
4. He said that the motor was worthless
4. He said that it was not possible to fix or replace the outdrive and we should spend thousands on outboards.
5. finally he told us that the sewage tank was ruined and needed replacement.

Then he just happened to have 2 pontoons that he wanted to sell to us for $8,000 which didn't include installation.

Turns out none of this was true. There were 12 places that needed to be repaired on the pontoons, Motor mounts were in excellent condition, got the outdrive resolved for $1000.
Motor was running and just needed an Exhaust manifold gasket. Sewage tank was fiberglass and had a small patchable hole, and the diverter box was easily repaired.
Also, while I was selling the boat, he gave this bad information to potential buyers which kept me from selling it.

When we fixed the pontoons, because he didn't make money he tried to charge us

Then he had piles of gravel behind the boat, so we couldn't get it out on the 31st like we asked. He tried to charge us an extra $1,100 to put the boat back in the water, but we fortunately kept a copy of our contract.
But even then he charged us for an extra 5 days anyway to get the boat out.

This was unbelievable, but because we had some tools on the ground he charged us for the extra time, even though we asked to have it out before the end of the month.

Jason (the guy that runs the place) basically held our boat hostage to get as much money as he could squeeze out of us.
