Went for the Friday night buffet. Very disappointed. Fish was ok, but bland. Shrimp was overcooked and tough. Crab legs were soft and rubbery, no flavor. Only condiment offered was melted butter, but it tasted like oil. No seafood or tartar sauce offered. Found out later as we were leaving, those condiments were on the salad bar in another room. The Whiskey Sunrise cocktail was good and well crafted

Nice restaurant with a variety of different dishes. They also have a small bar with a big tv. Service here was good and the food was also good. It was not till after we left the restaurant we learned that John Wayne was a regular at this restaurant. He ordered breakfast in the booth next to where we sat.. and we didn’t even know it. Either way good food and this restaurant has an even greater history.

Tonight was the first time we've visited. Everything was great. The service was wonderful, the food was very, very delicious and plentiful portions! I brought some of my chimichanga home. They have some of the best guacamole I've had! My husband loved his fajitas. My daughter said her French Dip was really good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and laid back.

It can sometimes be hard to find a decent restaurant in a small town. Safire is good enough to be in a big city. The menu consists of a wide variety of Mexican and American dishes, including a few cross-overs. Quality of the food is high. I had the strip steak with a loaded baked potato and salad. The salad bar is fresh and has a nice variety; they could maybe add olives, radishes, and bell peppers, but it had all the basics. The steak was excellent, done perfectly the way I ordered and served hot, along with a loaded baked potato so hot the cheese had melted. The service was top notch. Everyone was friendly, conscientious, and acted like they actually wanted to be there. One thing not big city about it is the prices. I expected to pay at least 50% more given the quality of the food. A lot of locals appear to patronize this restaurant, and that is always a good sign. Back in the day, John Wayne owned a ranch near Springerville and he ate at Safire according to signs in the restaurant. The Duke made a good choice.

Great pancakes to go on a Tuesday morning to eat in front of Becker lake where the boat dock is ramp just west of Springerville going West on US Highway 60, 180/191 Main Street S Ville

But getting back to the Sapphire, where the Duke actually ate here a few times, their food is never disappointing. Don’t just eat here because John Wayne did eat here but because you are adventurous like am and so love the north Arizona White Mountains Apache County

The food was very good. The service was not so good. The waiter was busy chatting at a table. He never checked on us after my husband finish his meal he reminded him that I could get a refill but I would be eating alone and he would have to wait. I had the all you can eat soup and salad. I did try to flag him down but he never looked my way. There was only 3 tables. I would eat there again, the resturant is new and I'm sure service will improve

This is a fun place. There are not a lot of options in Springerville. This is probably one of the best breakfast spots in town. I had the smothered breakfast Burrito and it was good. The wife got the juevos Rancheros and they were good also had the small stack and the French toast all were good! Nothing was outstanding but all was good. They asked my wife if she wanted flower or corn tortillas and she said flower but it came out with corn. It was smothered in red chilli sauce so it would have had to be remade to fix the issue so we didn't say anything about it. The service was awesome! The only thing she could have done better was to let us know when she brought us the check to take it up to the front desk to pay the bill. We set there waiting for like 30 minutes just waiting for her to take my card. After waiting so long I just walked up to the front and asked if we pay up there? Yep that's how they do it. All in all we had a great breakfast with the family and enjoyed it all. Thanks for being there to help make some memories!!

We stopped and ate at the Safire Restaurant and Lounge during our trip to Arizona. The food and Service was excellent. My wife and I both enjoyed the Mexican food and wine/beer. The complimentary chips and salsa were a nice addition to our dinner.
