Although I didn't have time to go to Mexico today, I enjoyed walking around downtown Brownsville. Many businesses are closed. Most if not all people I saw were wearing masks. Next time I want to go taco stand hopping!

I use to go to Matamoros more often, but now you take forever to go across the USA 🇺🇸 it's more the time you spend on the line!

Not crowded for pedestrian traffic on Saturday 10/21/23 around noon. Officials in both countries are making an effort to maintain law and order. Did not see any large crowds, chaos or unrest on both sides. We walked over to the other side and ate lunch at Garcia and returned within a few hours. I am a US citizen and US CBP officer treated me with respect and courtesy on return. Hope to see normalcy return to the area and tourism boom again.

If you've got a valid US Passport or passport ID card, it's a breeze to cross and come back. Walking is the fastest. Definitely would recommend that mode of transport if weather permits.

Down to one lane everyday where the two lane road has to merge but beings its texas people have no concept of every other. Common courtesy. You can see the difference in how people are. If people try to get in from a side road they block the road and make it so no one can turn even on their green light. If you have driven in mexico you can tell its those who are accustomed to driving there. You even have people making a right turn from. Far left lane. Talk about no concept of law.
