They have a on-site apartment for rent and I lived there for 4 months. Worst experience ever. I am active duty military so thankfully was able to get out of the lease. Problem after problem came up and they would drag their feet to fix every single one. The heat was not working for 2+ weeks in the winter during a cold front. Some sort of animal was in the ceiling and that was not resolved. I was constantly finding bugs everywhere. The previous property manager when I signed the lease was great at communicating, but he was replaced about a month into moving in. The new landlord not only treated the staff badly, but reprimanded them for giving me his phone number to contact him about an issue at the apartment. He never answered any of my texts or phone calls, forcing me to use the people in the office as a middle man which I highly disliked about his character immediately. When I moved out on active duty orders I gave him notice as soon as possible, which was about 7 weeks before I would need to leave. I asked for prorated rent for the last month I would be living there and he said (communicated through the staff) that he would only do that if I helped find someone to move into the apartment which is ridiculous. Not military friendly at all. I moved out over 30 days ago and have not received any response from the landlord about when I will be receiving my security deposit back. the apartment was left cleaner then when I moved in and with no damage at all. Overall very frustrating and stressful situation and I highly discourage anyone that is looking to rent an apartment from them. At least if Lathe is still managing the properties, as he was the main issue.

For the past four years, I have been a customer, and I could not have had better service than what I have experienced at American Mini Storage in Montgomery, Alabama. I maintain my unit from long distance. I have never had any problems. The prices are fair. Billing and payment have always been made by credit card. Each month I received a call from a staff member named Vivian, who reminded me of the payment and would spend time checking to see how I was doing. Vivian is definitely an asset to American Mini Storage because she has the ability to understand and feel what customers need and require. Thank you for maintaining a pleasant, friendly, and professional company.

Well this place is great. And Mrs. Vivian in the office is sweet and helpful. She has always tried to accommodate my needs, like when I noticed my unit leaking water, with no hesitation she found me another unit to go to. She has always been very nice and welcoming to me.

I am not a customer at this moment because we have closed out both storage accounts from moving, but I can say I've never had an experience at any other storage unit like I have at this one. Prices were decent and units were decent too. Who says you can't have a good relationship with your storage unit collector ? VIVIAN IS AWESOME! I absolutely love her and she was always understanding and so easy to talk to. I'm going to miss her for sure. If ever I need a storage unit back down that way it will definitely be American Mini Storage.
