We recently hired Golden Isles Moving and Storage (GIMS) to move our belongings from SSI to VA and we could not have been more pleased with the experience. From the team that came a day early to help us pack some of our more fragile items, to the team that loaded up our belongings in SSI as well as the team who unloaded us in VA we can’t say enough great things about them: all were very professional and respectful; all of the qualities that we greatly value. Finally kudos to the owner (Tom Wolfe) for doing the right thing by fully reimbursing us for the two lamps that were damaged in the move with no questions asked. My wife and I highly recommend GIMS to all who have a local or a cross country move in the future.

Great moving team but beware of managements verbal assurance you will be reimbursed for damaged items - it doesn’t happen. Had cross country move, paid 10K+ and was happy to support a local business from Ga. We had several items destroyed when they had to change trucks; they reassured us we would be reimbursed and that never happened! Called several times to follow up but no one responds ~ go figure!

They were personable and polite and very knowledgeable about the process. I felt secure that my copier would arrive on time and in one piece.
