Definitely not the best, but also not the worst. They just want your money like anywhere else. It's been close to a year and my rent has almost doubled due to "enhancement of our facilities and services". I'm not talking about the introductory rate either. The bathrooms are always locked "due to construction", but even when they were operational, they were disgusting. The electrical/fire alarm room has prints for the ongoing construction that are literally thrown in the corner in a pile. They aren't actually concerned about providing a better facility, they're just taking people's hard earned money. I'm going to find another option.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Secure Self-Space Storage in Camarillo! The staff here is top-notch, and Kevin truly stands out. He goes above and beyond what you’d typically expect from a property manager, always making sure everything is running smoothly and secure, while always having a positive attitude. You’ll often see him walking around, checking on the property inside and outside- giving you complete peace of mind that your belongings are safe. Kevin’s dedication and attention to detail are unmatched, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about the people who rent here.

This facility is also really large and can accommodate any type of storage unit you might need, whether for short-term or long-term use. It’s so much more upscale and well-maintained than a typical storage facility—truly more than you’d expect. This is my second time renting a unit here because of how satisfied I was the first time. On top of the exceptional service, the prices are absolutely worth it for the quality and security you get. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable, safe, and professional storage!

I'm glad I chose SecureSpace for my storage needs. The building feels very secure and the extended access hours are very helpful so you don't feel like you have to rush. I like the wide variety of unit sizes and that it is clean.
The starting process was very satisfactory. Brad and Kevin were very helpful and informative during the process. I was able to get my unit swiftly with no hassles and they explained everything well. Their friendly and inviting personalities further assured me that it was a good decision to go with SecureSpace.

Thank you Brad for giving us an awesome experience renting storage units. As stressful as our situation has been with moving and having to transfer to another storage unit within months, he was able to make the process quick and smooth! Not only did he take into consideration our needs that we expressed - easy access storage close to our old storage (to be able to easily transfer our items), but he also made sure the new storage was the right size for what we had remaining. The price for renting a storage unit here is affordable and the customer service is excellent! We appreciated the small but generous and kind gesture of cold bottled waters offered to us, which was very thoughtful especially during the hot days and moving. Highly recommend!

Despite some initial miscommunication between myself and them, these folks went decidedly above and beyond the responsibilities to their customers as a normal crew of employees. Kevin was especially helpful, both to me and to his trainee, to whom he was explaining the company methods as we filled out all of the paperwork. The paperwork was succinct and simple to understand, and was presented in such a way as to make the whole thing easy.

The only criticism I have to offer is the layout of the building. Yes, building. It is two stories of storage lockers arranged in an absolutely inscrutable maze. Even the relatively new employee could not find my space or even the elevators. Granted she’s new, but still….. There are no maps provided, neither given to the customer, posted on the walls, or given to the employees.

They were very helpful about this though. But my locker was close to the very spacious utility elevators (or whatever they’re called), and if yours is in middle somewhere you’ll need Daedulus (kind of an inside joke) to help you out. They are relatively new there, so they just need to print some maps or something.

Otherwise, this place is like the Four Seasons of storage . Everything is climate controlled and carpeted and clean. I highly recommend this place. Talk to Kevin. Great guy.

Found them online, reserved and rented the space online within 15 minutes. Process was simple and straightforward. When I went in the next day, Brian explained how the rental worked, took me to the unit and showed me the lock, the best place to park to load/unload, and answered any questions. This was the quickest, most painless sale process I've ever been through, and the unit was exactly what I needed.

Brad was great to work with. Units are ver clean. You have to use their locks so be ready to buy one. The loading docks are not close to all the u it’s but they have a cart you can use. They really need better maps, it’s easy to get turned around first few times.
