Visiting for a few days from Vegas and what a pleasant surprise to find a Vons right here in town. Conveniently located in a shopping center right on Big Bear Boulevard as you drive into down from the east side. There is plenty of free parking and the store is like any other Vons we have in Las Vegas, but with slightly higher prices. However, the store was very clean, and the layout was what we have seen in other Vons. Bottom line, it was nice to find a Vons right here in town and our Vons card works just fine here.

I tried ordering through the app to save some time shopping but little did I know I was still going to have to go into the store. They told me through the app that almost half my order was out of stock including my substitutes but I really needed some of those items so I decided to go into the store after I got my order to check what they had. Low and behold I found every single item they listed as out of stock and very promptly… non of the items were hiding anywhere so somebody just didn’t want to take the time to look for the items I needed. So if you have items they list as out of stock through the app take into account that somebody may just not want to actually look for it. Very disappointed.

The sewer pipes busted in deli/ bakery on Sunday. No professional cleaning up crew came to clean the area. Customers were free to shop in that area instead of blocking it off to insure customer safety. No products were replaced or distressed. The bakery continues to smell like sewage days after.

First time in big bear and was excited to spend my money at the local Vons , I’ve never had any issue at any Vons and I’m not one to complain , but I’m trying to purchase about $300 of groceries and the cashier was definitely rude, no manners, looked grumpy as hell, she literally tossed everything down the counter , didn’t care to ask for my membership number or anything. Bummer since there’s so many great service reviews , the store is stocked up and clean, don’t mind paying extra due to location.

I’m a little torn on this one. The employees have been very kind and the store is clean and organized, however, it’s insanely expensive up here. Things I pay $2.50 down the mountain for are $5-$6 up here in Big Bear. I live up here and honestly try to do bulk shopping when I’m down the mountain because of it.

The lines tend to be very long even when there’s time to anticipate substantial amounts customers because of holidays etc, the store never has enough folks at the register and I feel so bad for the people that are up there rushing to get customers checked out.

If you’re traveling and spending your holiday here, I’d advise you do all of your shopping before you come up here.

The cashier Vicky would not stop trying to talk to every customer in line, when she already had a line of customers waiting. It took 10 minutes for her to check out a customer with 20 items or less because she was too busy talking when she could be working. She is not good at multi tasking. It's either talking or scanning but she can't do both at the same time. (Talking takes priority to her)

Staff was doing a great job with the Christmas Eve crowd! Replenishment is an issue as they were out of many items three days later. Not a huge meat selection for having meat cutters present.
