DHL compared to FedEx is a 1* at best. Friday I was expecting a package as on the website it was scheduled for delivery and Express payment, etc was given so that it would arrive on-time. Today is Monday and the package is still not "Out for Delivery" as its still at the local warehouse. Given the two choices, go with FedEx as I have has less issues with them. Yikes.....

I’m usually not one to leave a review, but this is ridiculous. Yesterday, I was home all day waiting for my package that never came. I received multiple text messages saying it would be delivered soon. I was standing out on my balcony when I saw the truck pull up on the side street and then promptly drive off without even getting out or anything. I couldn’t get down the stairs to flag him down fast enough. (Which I shouldn’t have had to do anyway but I thought maybe he needed help?) Shortly after I got a text saying that a delivery was attempted. There was no attempt. But fine. Maybe he couldn’t figure out how to get in the gate. So the delivery date was switched to today. And today, I get the same notification saying it would be here soon. I never got any follow up until I got a notification saying it’s been delivered. However, it was not delivered to my address, but to a locker not even in my apartment complex? It looks like it’s back at their facility but I’m not sure? After seeing all of these previous reviews, unfortunately this seems like a common occurrence. I did reach out to the email address they’ve been giving in response to the other reviews, so hopefully things will be resolved. I’d even be okay with taking the hour drive to go to the DHL facility to pick up my package(which again, I shouldn’t have to do) but I need my package.

Go to the DHL in Sunnyvale instead. It’s worth the extra hour drive. After getting my package inspected here, they said it was accepted, I asked for a receipt, they gave me a tracking number, then I come back and find they’re returning it to me. Why accept it and then return it to me? They just wanted me to have to pay twice for getting irritated that they messed up my package and for being vocal about the inspection. When you’re a small business, you package things nicely for clients. Then DHL cuts open everything to inspect it. Tell people before this so we don’t package it and save everyone the trouble. This is not noted through Shopify. And why accept the package only to return to sender. Makes no sense at all. And I can’t even get a refund now. So you kill small businesses even more. We’re just trying to make a small living and you’re not helping.

I stayed at my job later than usual to get my delivery for 2 days straight. I run the front office but still they said that the place was closed when we are open 24 hours a day. How was that possible to lie? Like It's the customer's fault that they didn't delivered, they should hold themselves countable for not even showing up. A waste of time I wouldn't send anything with them............ so sad service 😢 😪 😞 😔

These guys are total garbage. They ignore delivery instructions and then don’t deliver saying they will come back next day.
Then when you schedule a re-delivery and leave your phone number and apartment number, they claim they attempted delivery again which is a LIE because they never contacted me all day today, they never notified me they were within 5 stops like their customer service said they would do, and they never left a note on my door either day! That’s how I know they are liars.
Who knows if I will ever get my package. How can UPS, FedEx, Amazon, USPS all deliver to me without problems but these idiots can’t even come close to doing their jobs.
I emailed customer service today but their customer service is apparently closed the next 2 days so who knows if I will ever get my package. Do not use DHL

This DHL driver is costing the neighborhood so much trouble. He comes at least 3 times a week, a dumps food out for the birds and rats. I have tried to talk to him nicely and tell him he is against the law to dump trash in private property, but his words were to go F myself. Try calling the company, but they said they would talk to him, but his is back again. So I guess the company backs these actions as okay. I will not delete this until i see actions since it is causing money to have pest control and clean service for DHL bad practices.

Wow! Such great customer service! The person helping me was so nice and friendly. It is a bit hard to find the front door. It's all the way to the right of the building. Also once you get it, you have to press a buzzer to get a customer service rep come and help. I waited about 2 minutes, not bad at all. Loved this interaction!

Now, it’s not very often that folks can share positive experiences and occurrences when it comes to shipping and delivery companies, but, I’m happy to say that this review will change all of that. Recently, I picked up a package from the DHL hub in San Francisco and it was a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the large hub doesn’t have a direct phone line, but, I found using the “chat box,” feature on the main DHL website extremely helpful. I spoke with a representative named Antoni, who was able to contact the San Francisco branch and let them know that I was interested in picking up my package before the delivery window. I was so excited about a product I purchased from Indonesia, I just couldn’t wait until Monday for it to be delivered. As I tracked my package from Indonesia to San Francisco on the DHL website, everything was extremely simple and user-friendly. DHL makes deliveries Monday - Friday, so weekend delivery is not an option. After chatting with the agent (Antoni), I went to DHL, provided my tracking number, and the agent was able to bring my package to the window. If driving there is ample parking in front of the hub location and access in and out is extremely simple. Whether shipping or receiving an international package, DHL is the way to go.
