My son is paralyzed from the neck down and on a ventilator to breathe. Most of the nurses are rude and don't want to help. He is a patient there right now and he doesn't feel safe in their care. His room was filthy for 2 days. They don't answer his call light and he's paralyzed! They make you feel like your a burden. I could only get the house supervisor to answer the phone once. He was nice. However, before that I left multiple messages for the house supervisor that were never returned

My brother has had 3 or more strokes, and is paralyzed on his left side including his arm and leg. He was sent to Doctors hospital after having another mini stroke. Also, he had just had a cast removed from his right arm when he was taken there. A male staffer with a black beard, (staff wouldn't tell me his name) 4th floor, flipped my brother off because he was too loud when he was crying and talking to me. My brother was told he couldn't talk to me anymore unless he stopped crying. Also, Steve, head supervisor of that floor, came in to his room and told him to hang up the phone 3 times while he was talking to me. The head nurse, Deserai, tried to tell me none of this happened. However, she backtracked herself when I told her I was the one he was talking to on the phone and I could hear him (Steve) telling my brother to hang up the phone and that he was the "boss". Next thing I find out is Security is called and my brother is put in hard restraints because he is a threat. Really, he is paralyzed. Both arms and legs were all hard restrainted with shackles. When he came home, he had bruises on his left paralyzed leg, that looked like fingerprints probably from using to much force when putting on the leg restraints. My brother has nearly died 4 times and has been fighting for his life for the last 5 months. They really showed him though, how tuff they can be to a paralized man, that has no strength, and has nearly died on several occaions in the past few months, especially the black bearded man. He used excessive force when pulling up the bed rails with my brother's arm stuck between the rail and mattress. Three times my brother cried out for him to stop, but he didn't. A nurse had to come in and untangle my brother's arm. No, my brother isn't perfect and he is in a very bad place in his life, but the staff, in my opinion, are rude and very unprofessional. The whole experience was a nightmare from hell.

I’m surprised really to see such low reviews!
I’ve basically have spent the last few years in this hospital with my father who had Alzheimer’s, he spent a month and a half here ! myself who had some minor health issues, , my daughter who had a baby here and now my partner who is at doctors due to massive stroke.
All of us have received nothing but outstanding service! Yes, there were times when staff wasn’t up to par, and yes there was once a weekend doctor who I didn’t care for; but I will say this, if you discuss your concerns with someone, and advocate for your loved one, they correct the issue, they always , always did with us.
And the care my family and I got were outstanding! Attentive to all of us, firm when they had to be, and most of all, the medical doctors were to notch! From the surgeons, to specialists, to the nurses, they all were so informative, and accommodating. As far as I’m concerned , I would never change surgeons from doctors. They Know What they are doing, they are specialists in their fields, and you can count on your loved one getting the best treatment and recovery!!! The case managers are somewhat helpful ( they have a lot of patients) but again, you gotta advocate for your loved ones , wherever you go. So, I ask what is it that you as family are not asking?
To me the bigger picture is a good team of surgeons, specialists, and staff to make sure the patient is getting the treatment medically, that they need.
Off the trash is full, as ask someone to empty it, it the food is not to your liking, maybe there is another option.

I respect doctors hospital and their teams to the fullest!! And I was not a fan at the beginning, I had pre-judgments like most if the low grade reviewers. Until my family members and loved ones medically needed attention.

Thank you Doctors Hospital! For all you’ve done for my family!!

ER visit was the visit from Hell. Staff was extremely rude, demeaning to the point of bringing patients to tears out of pure humiliation. The worst part was the staff, mainly nurses yelling out your personal medical information in a crowded waiting room so all other patients heard. THAT was the worse! Major HIPPA violation and did I mention against the law that are there to protect patients? Horrible, horrible experience! I would have to be completely unresponsive on the brink of death before setting foot in that ER again! And then I would have to be taken there by EMS against my will.

My review was removed for speaking the truth about POOR patient care, fraudulent billing practices and many other issues. I am reporting them to the medical board and everyone else should too. This is a FOR PROFIT hospital who only cares about money not people

My sister was first in ICU, there was one nurse there, Robyn, who was fantastic. She cared and explained everything that was going on and didn't treat our questions like they were an inconvenience. She was then moved to OneMed. They seem great so far, all except her case worker who seems to really dislike her job. All in all the care is good, just a lot of bad bedside manners.
