A wonderful, small town. Great museum. Site of an Arkansas ghost town. Great gift shopping. Between the Buns is a wonderful eatery. Everything on their menu is excellent. The old mortuary was still decorated for Halloween. This small town ( population 888) is well worth a visit.

Calico Rock Arkansas has some of the most incredible Archeological sites in existence. I research, explore and photograph what may be the Epi-center of a prehistoric culture that has been ignored untill now. I have been doing a surface survey of the area for years and I hike and climb on a daily basis.
One can consider the photographic evidence and any future visits that particularly focus on the Ancient and Prehistoric cultures that were present.
The evidence on the surface will turn the Archeological and Anthropological world, as we know it, upside down.
Fir the vacation if a lifetime thus would be the equivalent of going to the Yucatan Peninsula and seeing the temples in person with the exception being that this has just been discovered. I quietly made a public statement on May 4th in Melbourne.
It's right here and only needs to be explored and documented.
Calico Rock should be shared with the world.
