Unsure if it's the time of year or what. Employees the past 3 months have been super rude to people with children in particular. Witnessed someone working the clothing part, a little girl had run away from her parent and was trying to put shoes on. The employee spoke down to the mom and said "You need to watch your child better or not bring them at all."
My friend was there today, and they were spoken down to because they couldn't hear the employees due to 3 people speaking to them all at once, and they had one of their toddlers in their arms crying and upset.
Normally the employees here are super sweet and willing to help parents with kids, because nobody would bring their children here if they had a choice not to. But these last few months, the whole place has gone downhill, volunteer wise AND food wise.

Either the volunteers are overworked and need better working conditions, or there needs to be a team meeting to discuss morale and proper etiquette.

I really loved this place but just recently I tried to get some food for myself and got denied bc I didn’t live in the county. That was never an issue before. It’s very ironic that it’s named after a saint who was known for his charity.

Maybe they should have a talk with their volunteers and let them know that they shouldn’t deny food to anyone. It’s just a little disappointing after waiting in line for an hour to hear that you can’t get any help

Does this location actually give provide rental assistance? I've tried for nearly a year to get through to the rent assistance line, and a good handful of times it finally rang through, someone picked and hung up (this has happened on multiple different occasions). I have tried creative ways to get through (calling right at 10am on the dot, calling from two different phones, having help with a friend calling, calling for hours, but have been unsuccessful. Also I've noticed right at 11am they change the voicemail to say they have spent the funds. Mmmmmm? Makes me feel like it's a cause after a year of trying. Bummer, because there is a great need in our community.

These guys are so Amazing! Day in and day out feeding and clothing the people of Clark County. If you need food or some clothes all you need is some form of ID, although I do think they can work around it if you don't have any. Keep up the truly amazing work St.Vincent de Paul!!!

I've tried calling this place for a month now for rental assistance. I called at 10 on the dot and with 2 phones still no answer. I don't think they are giving out any rental assistance. I've had others encounter this experience . Maybe they need to update their phone number maybe ?

The people who work there are totally awesome! Friendly, polite, and generally compassionate towards others! However there is a lack of patience with a majority of the clients being down right rude, and inconsiderate! Was first time there and was bypassed by people behind me, ran into twice, and rear ended with a shopping cart ! Manners what happened to that?
