This has got to be the worst pharmacy I have ever delt with. My insurance company requires 90 day fills on all of my maintenance medications and despite the contract made between Mr. Butler and CIGNA. The pharmacists and techs think it's okay to make comments like, "your insurance won't pay for the 90 days, we can't continue to lose money by filling these (Brittany, tech)" and telling me that to my face while taking steps towards me until Cody finally put his hand up, but only down at his side. The pharmacist, Cody or Lack Thereof (you ask a simple question about a medication and he's clueless, if you call him out on it he immediately runs to the back), has lied to my insurance company on several occasions telling them that a 90-day fill wouldn't go through when my insurance company told him no, it's the 30 days that you're trying to push through that won't go through. This has happened several times, so then he tried filling half of my prescriptions (45 days or 60 days) that didn't go over well with my insurance company and they had to call him again. One day I went to pick up my medications and they were all 30 days, AGAIN. I asked the pharmacist (older lady with short hair) to fill them for 90 days because I will get a letter from my insurance company. The only way my insurance company will do 3 30-day fills is if it is a new medication, I have been on the same medication for years!! She literally threw a fit, argued that they wouldn't go through, and about having to change them. She was hitting the screen so hard with her finger I could hear it across the pharmacy. I can only image it's because they did in fact go through! My husband stopped using them due to this reason and also every time they would tell him a prescription would be ready the next day with him standing there, he would return the next day after 5pm and have to wait for it to be filled. For professionalism as you should have in a pharmacy, there should be no need for a pharmacist to discuss the money they think they are losing due to the lack of complete information about a contract that was put in place way before they were there and definitely above their pay grade. Discussing this matter only made the techs resent me for having a great insurance company who looks out for me. Unless the money you see my insurance company saving me affects you or your techs paycheck then once again, it is above your pay grade and a contract that should be honored without the hatred, rudeness, physical, and verbal attacks on the customer. The sweet girl that always rings me up gave me a number to call due to the issue. I called and told her everything that had been happening in there and she sounded concerned. She told me that I would get a call back from someone and tell them everything I told her. What phone call back? I went to my car and came back in, and she was in tears for giving me the phone number to call. The older lady pharmacist was yelling saying, I did not have the right to call them and they don't tell them what to do!! My advice is to check your prescription coverage and if any of the Butler Pharmacies have a contract with your insurance company make sure you are receiving your 90-day prescriptions vs. 30, 45 or 60 days. They are making you spend more money than what they are supposed to be. The delivery service may make you think it's great because you have your medication every 30 days, but they are costing local residents more money who wanted to give money back locally by using their pharmacies. Mr. Butler you had over 3 weeks to have someone contact me about this issue and you chose to lose me as a customer. I guess we will see how many others you will lose by exposing the truth about how you do not honor your contracts with insurance companies and allow your employees to act.
Everyone using this pharmacy please check with your insurance company before continuing to do business with them. If you make them follow the contract that you pay a premium on monthly to save money on your medications you will be treated like I was or possibly worse!

I appreciate that this pharmacy delivers. I don’t drive so without this service I’d be out of luck. They don’t always get everything I need filled when it’s needed but I know they do try and they will fix any issue that arises.

The folks at West Gate are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Here, I get to be a valued human instead of an inconvenience (big chain woes). I absolutely recommend!

Been coming here for a long time and have never been treated as well as I have been here. Love all the staff here and couldn't imagine filling medications anywhere else.

I tried using this pharmacy for a few years for diabetic supplies I need. In all that time, they only filled the order properly once, despite having the same conversation over and over about it. To lower my stress level, I moved all but one med to a mail order service. It also helped because I have other conditions that leave me bed-bound for months at a time. For several months this year, I couldn't even drive. Mail order made sense. I intended to leave only one prescription with them because I need the manufacturer savings program to afford it. It's the only thing in 20 years time that I've been prescribed that works and there is currently no generic version available. Without the savings program,
it's over $800 a month. Mail order won't honor these programs. No harm, no foul, right? They already fill it and so far haven't messed up that medication refill.

No. They are refusing to fill that medication because I am not using them for ALL my meds. In the discussion leading to this, I wasn't rude or unpleasant. Just, no sorry, don't refill those because I'm switching those to a different pharmacy.

If you have meds that are crucial to keeping you alive, please use another pharmacy.

I can honestly say I’ve never been so blown away by a pharmacy experience before today!

I’ve spent days waiting on two different pharmacies to get a prescription for my baby figured out have and finally decided to try out West Gate. The pharmacist and technicians spent hours on the phone with my insurance company and pediatrician and finally got us the answer we have been searching for TODAY!

Seriously super impressed with how hard they tried to make sure we got taken care of, they have earned a lifetime patient out of me and my baby!

Thank you for everything you do!

They really personalize everything to you and your needs. I’ve been at Walmart and Walgreens before and you are just another number at those places. They make it easy to get my prescriptions without having to come back multiple times a month either.

One of the worst experiences I've had. Do not got here. They push covid tests on you even if you do not ask for or want them. Who paid for those tests? They don't respect their listed hours either and the pharmacy techs do not all have the same information. I was told a med was ×6 more expensive by a tech, than the pharmacist told my doctor's nurse on the phone. Things are not this difficult. Please remember that patient's have a lot more than you know going on in their life and your job performance affects their lives.
